Lawyer FINALLY made an appointment with us for Friday to sign to contract!!!
He told my DH to bring our checkbook? what for? lawyer fees? or the $ portion we are putting down? i just want to make sure the $$$ is in the right account!

I believe it is for your down payment and any processing fees. I will have to ask DH I don't remember. I know that we had to send the bank a check at contract for processing fee and down payment.

It's for the downpayment.... Then you begin the task of getting your mortgage. Congrats!!!

Of course DH of mine doesn't ask for what.... now i can't get a hold of the lawyer....

i agree its for the downpayment your lawyer needs to send it to there lawyer so it can go into the escrow account. congrats by the way on signing another step behind you
