Signs of Pregnancy...???

Signs of Pregnancy...???

Ok, what's going on...?? My DH and I have BD this whole past week (ovulation time) and the day before yesterday, I've been having sharp pains in my ovaries. One day it hurt on the left and the next day it hurt on the right side. Is my mind playing tricks on me or what? I haven't felt sick at all but I feel like there's alot of pressure on my lower abdomen. I'm probably crazy.

I think that's a sign of ovulation actually! I had the same thing and did some reading on www.fertilityfriend.com and i'm pretty sure that's what it is... I never paid attention before we started trying to ttc.

We can still be hopeful it's a sign of pregnancy though!

They say you don't actually concieve till 7-10 days after you ovulate, when the egg implants, so maybe it's just ovulation right now.

Good luck!!!

Ok...today I feel fine. No cramping and I don't feel bloated. The funny thing is I never have cramps when I'm ovulating, I usually get them the second day of AF's visit. I'm not due for her visit until August 26. Now is the long two week wait!!

Re: Signs of Pregnancy...???

The sharp pain in your side was probably the release of the egg. if you and DH have been dancing this past week... spermies live inside you for up to 5 days so there is a chance that the sperm and egg have met and that little sucker is floating down to your uterus to implant. GOOD LUCK!!

BTW - if in about a week you start to get what feels like pregnancy cramps that could be a sign of implantation!!!

Thanks for all that info. This is my first attempt at TTC and every little feeling makes me crazy! Now I'm finally a little bit more at peace.

Mattsbride~Good luck to you too on the 26th!!

Oh~another silly question~after I felt these little pains, should we still be BDing? Thanks!!!

I don't want to get your hopes up but I wanted to share my experience. That is exactly what I felt about a week after we tried. Pains on my two sides and it was a different pain then I ever had before. You might be a little early for it if you were just ovulating, but you never know.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Re: Signs of Pregnancy...???

If you are going to get pregnant then you are going to get pregnant. Once you release an egg there are sperm swimming towards it. You could BD day and night if you like... although your DH's spermy count may get reduced a bit from the constant release

Im only speaking from exerience... Emma was a middle of my cycle lets see what happens kinda thing and this one was a 'Im ovulating, OMG honey what did you just do' kinda thing. I get prego when DH looks at me funny.

If it isnt this month, just keep dancing and hopefully soon you will be prego!

Stefanie - found this on fertilityfriend.com and thought iti may answer your question...

What is the fertile window?

Your fertile window is made up of the days in your menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible. The length of this fertile phase is determined by the maximum life span of your partner's sperm and your egg. Sperm can survive a maximum of five days in fertile cervical fluid and your ovum can survive for up to one day. Your theoretical fertile window is thus six days long, comprised of the five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. You only have a chance to conceive when you have intercourse on these days. This means that pregnancy is technically possible from intercourse on any of these six days. The likelihood of actually becoming pregnant, however, is dramatically increased when you have intercourse in the three days immediately leading up to and including ovulation. This makes a practical fertile window of just three days.

In a recent analysis of 119,398 charts from women charting with Fertility Friend, we found that 94% of women who became pregnant had intercourse on at least one of these three days. For conception purposes, it is thus ideal to have intercourse during a three day fertile window which includes your ovulation day and the two previous days.

Re: Signs of Pregnancy...???

I am glad someone posted this. We BD last week too, and I know I was ovulating, but the weirdest thing happened, a few days later I got cramps again. I was wondering maybe I can be preganant. I know I ovulated on Thursday and then on Saturday, I had the weirdest cramps on my side and kind of downwards too, then today I was spotting. I hate this 2 week wait. I am due on 8-25.
