What is the longest you have gone giving your significant other the silent treatment?

I find it hard to give the silent treatment for too long. It is hard to go through the day wthout having to talk to him...Even if it is to ask if he went to the bank or whatever.
I try though. Also, I have too much fun TELLING him what my problem is!

2 or 3 days but he is the one taht would call back or give in I am a hard head one and when I am right there is no giving in.

I don't think I've even gotten thru an entire day of giving the 'silent treatment'
mainly because he LIKES it too much when I don't talk to him or argue, etc..so that kinda defeats the purpose

I think no more than a day or two. If we have a fight and I don't speak to him, he'll start to hum to himself!!! It is the funniest thing.

No longer than 2 hours. I can't go to bed angry and I wanted to go to bed so I gave in and we spoke about our problem.

i never give FH the silent treatment.. when i'm mad i just give him one word responses which annoys him even more and when i'm ready i'll tell him the problem.. its never lasted more then like a day or two though.

We just went through this on this past weekend. I couldn't do it- even though this fight got really ugly over something I couldn't prevent and he continued to blame me for. I ended up saying sorry just to stop the silence. It was still quiet even after that and we definatley didn't speak unless we had to. The worst was going over to my brother's house and pretending to act normal. It was so strange, especially when he called me, honey and I knew he didn't mean it. He finally apoligized this morning when he left for the airport. whew----I hate fighting!

i could go longer, but DH usually winds up cracking me up somehow and consequently gets himself out of trouble...

He went on a trip hat he ahd promised not to go on and I did't answer his phone calls the whole time.

We don't fight often, but when we do and I am mad the Silent Treatment lasts about 15 minutes. I would go longer, but he is a compulsive communicator. He wants to talk everything out, get it out 'it's not healthy to stew' kind of attitude....
I must say I agree - but I would never tell him that!
