Hi Anyone have this type of countertop or have any experience with it? We are suppose to order ours tonight. Last night I took a sample home because they claim it is harder and less absorbant than granite. So I put ketchup, wesson oil and tomato sauce on it last night before bed and it all just washed off this morning with water. I ws just wondering if anyone has ever had issues with this materail before?

Is silestone cheaper or more expensive than granite?

Re: silestone countertops?
Our silestone was a little cheaper than granite. Silestone is less absorbant than granite and holds up better, but I guess people love to say they have 'granite' so it costs more for some odd reason.
I am really excited to get it

We ordered silestone and are due to get it in two weeks. Ours priced out higher than the granite not much though only a few $. I have only heard good things about it.

Our cabinets are white and we ordered stellar snow for the countertop. We will order black appliances.
