anyone doing fake flowers? those silk real feel don't look bad! budget for flowers is tight, so I was thinking about those, so far I found them for around $450. anyone have any recommendations where to look? I wouldn't mind real flowers, if they were cheap enough! if you have any prices on cheap real flowers to look at I'll take that too!I need my bouquet and a throw away
6 bm
10 boutonnieres
2 corsages
do you think $450 it's a good deal?
thanks!

I personally don't like silk flowers. I looked into the silk ones to make my own centerpieces (the submerged orchids) and it was more expensive to buy everything than to get from my florist. You can also look into renting centerpieces to save $$

centerpieces come with my package at the RH but ty that I'd good to know though! I only need bouquets. I have seen the real feel silk orchids at my friends wedding. she put rice in them so we didn't have to hold the rice in our hands. I remember thinking to my self why would u use real flowers to hold rice! they. looked so real! but idk where to find them! or if it's worth it!

Go to a few florists and get a quote and compare them to what the silks would cost. I bet they aren't too far off.

I am. My aunt made the bouquets for my uncle and my brothers weddings. I'm making myself a brooch bouquet. I wouldn't have any real flowers at the wedding if my centerpieces weren't included.

I too personally like real flowers. Not that silk flowers dont look beautiful, its just that I prefer natural ones.
You need to verify prices at various places.

Re: silk flower bouquets
I used Angela at Angelisabella for my bouquet and altar flowers, as well as the boutonniers and 3 corsages. I loved the results and the price. (My girls carried clutch purses with silk flowers [attached but removable], that I made myself.) If you go to Angela's Facebook page (link below) you can see some of her work. She's not local, but the delivery charges were very reasonable. For my bouquet, I sent her a picture from FTD's website and asked her to reproduce it in silk flowers. She will ask you what kind of flowers you're looking to use and what colors. Her materials are not cheap-looking. Her roses don't look like dollar-store finds and she uses beautful ribbons and bling accents. She'll make a sample and email you a picture of what it looks like and you can make any changes desired. You have full control over what the end result will look like. I was totally happy with everything.
Oh... and PS....she's a doll to work with!

Def look into in season flowers submerged in water with floating candles. If done right, it will look stunning and it's very inexpensive. I'm looking into this option as well.
