Hello, I'm on a really tight budget and I was thinking of making my Bridal Party's flowers out of silk.
What do you think?

I think it would be fine. Some silk flowers are very realistic and other than the bridesmaids I bet nobody would even know.

I did - my Dh's grandma made my bouquet and maid of honors bouquet - and I loved them - and now I have my bouquet forever!

All my flowers are silk - bouquets, bouts and corsages. This is my bouquet:

A combination of places (I went back several times because I couldn't get exactly what I wanted), including The Rag Shop, AC Moore and Michaels. I think I probably spent about $50 on my bouquet, but that includes flower wire, tape, ribbon, etc. that I am using on my MOH's bouquet and the bouts and corsages.

Re: Silk Flowers
my mother's using silk flowers (the good kind) for the church decor (pews). anyhow, we'll only be there for an hour, so i say why not use them if they're better for your budget?
