silk flowers??

Hi,

In your opinion, is it ok to have bouquets made of silk flowers? Was thinking it may save us some money if I make the bouquets for me & the girls. I only want something small anyway.

Thanks

Believe it or not, roses are one of the inexpensive flowes, because they are so readily available.
Price them out and see.

I guess I really don't care about what people really think.........as long as you love them.......

Mine will be silks............

I really wanted that dried dark look........My colors are wine and they will look great with my BM dresses.........the first one in mine and one with the hanging spray in the MOH......the girls will be the same without the roses added.........

my ceremony decorations are kissing balls made from silk roses and they look real. I'm also having my flower girl use silk rose petals so there are no stains.

I think it's a great idea to use silk flowers for your wedding. I know of someone who had a silk flower bo-k for her wedding and she is using it as a decorative piece at home now. It's nice because you don't have to worry about preserving it.
After my wedding, I try to dry my bo-k upside down since I was so in love with it. When I came back from my honeymoon, it shriveled and the color changed dramatically. It doesn't look the same anymore but I still put it in a vase as a decorative piece.
Just remember, it's your wedding. No one at the wedding came up to me to see if my bo-k was real!

Go for it. If you wait until the last minute you might even get stems on sale.
