Ok. So I might finally be settling on a dress. For those of you who've seen my previous post.. I was really getting frustrated. I've found a mon cheri gown that comes in silk and satin. I tried the silk and loved it but the satin is HALF the price of the silk... Does it really make a difference in the look - as between the silk and the satin?

hmmm...what color will you be ordering it in?
I feel like white satin is always a brighter white than silk...but if you're ordering ivory, i feel silk looks better.
I say GO SATIN - its the same dress, just less expensive. After all, you really only wear it for 12-15 hours, right?

I'm getting my dress custom made and that's the decision I have to make too. I LOVE the look of the silk satin! It's beautiful, but pricey!!!!
The regular stain is pretty too, but to me, just doensn't give off that beautiful lusturious sheen!!
So, I'm going for the Silk Satin in Ivory.

my dress comes in natural - not quite white and ivory. I've only tried it on in natural and it's really not white - like diamond white.. more like eggshell... I want to say.. I haven't seen the ivory yet but my salon is ordering the swatch for me. We'll see. I know its only 12 hours but I was also thinking that silk might lay better and it definitely feels better to the touch (not that I'll be touching my dress all day... but you know).
