silly question

on the day of your wedding, do you still wear your engagement ring on your left hand, or do you wear it on your right hand?

Re: silly question

im not sure what the traditional way of doing it is.. but I am going to wear it on my left hand.

Some ladies dont wear it at all and others wear it on the right.

Re: silly question

Hi - If you are getting married in a church you should wear the ring on your right hand during the ceremony and then you can change it back to your left hand after it. Your wedding ring needs to go on first.

I am wearing mine on my right hand until after the ceremony, when I will put it where it belongs

Re: silly question

You put it on your right hand during the ceremony. Then you can switch it back to the left for the reception.

I guess I was planning on doing it all wrong!!

Re: silly question

Your wedding ring is supposed to be closer to your heart, so that's why you switch your e-ring to your right hand for the ceremony and then switch it back afterwards.

I wore mine on my right for the ceremony, then slipped it on my left after the ceremony

Re: silly question

I'm very traditional. I am wearing my engagement ring on my left hand always. Once I get my wedding band, I will just wear them together on the left hand. I'm Catholic, is this why I'm so traditional?! LOL

Re: silly question

I'm doing the switch to the right, and right after the ceremony, putting it back on left hand with my band!

I wore mine on the right hand then as soon as we exchanged rings in the ceremony, I slipped my ering back to my left hand. JT didn't even notice when I did it.

I think you are supposed to wear it on your right hand and then put it on your left after FH puts it on you

Re: silly question

I don't think my e-ring fits on my right hand!

Re: silly question

I think it is a personal choice. You can leave it on your left hand and have him put the wedding ring on your left hand and then switch the two (wedding ring on inside and engagement on outside) in the limo. Or you can wear the engagement ring on your right hand and switch it to your left after the ceremony.
Honestly, I will probably have to leave the engagement ring on my left hand because my right knuckle is bigger and my ring won't fit comfortably on my right hand

Re: silly question

Yeha I think ia mgoing to leave it on my left hand... I want the pre ceremony pics to have my ring on my left hand.. then I will switch the order in the limo.
