Do you and FH have to make speeches at the rehearsal dinner??? I absolutely hate that and would really prefer not to lol. Also, did you write out cards to each person that you are giving gifts to? Or did you just attach their name so you knew whose gift was whose? TIA!

Re: Silly rehearsal dinner question
I was just going to say thank you for coming etc. A card would be nice.

Re: Silly rehearsal dinner question
FH hates speeches so he will stand up there with me while I thank everyone for coming. And then we're going to give gifts to both our parents. We're also bringing our guestbook with us since our immediate family may not have time to sign at the reception.

The guestbook is a good idea! Only 10 people signed our guestbook. 40 bucks down the drain!

I spent so much time on our guestbook (it's a book of 1-2 pics per page of me and FH's years together and people sign around the pics). I figured people at the rehearsel dinner are the people most important to us so at the very least, they'd sign!

Re: Silly rehearsal dinner question
To answer all your questions, we each wrote out cards to go with all of our gifts (I wrote the ones for my attendants and parents, DH did his attendants and parents--we just got some cute little thank you notes for it, but definitely wrote some heartfelt stuff in there). We didn't really plan our 'speeches' although we knew we needed to do it. DH's dad said thank you to everyone for coming (as his parents were the hosts of the RD) and then DH and I got up and thanked everyone broadly, and then went gift by gift (we did readers, then alternated guys and girls in the BP, then parents last) and we each said something about the person (depending whose attendant they were) and about why they were in the BP, how they were special to us, etc., and then thanked them and gave them the gift. It seemed really rushed to me but all our parents later said we did a great job and were really heartfelt!
I will say that writing out the cards (DH and I sat down and just did it, allowed ourselves some time to think about each person individually) was really helpful in the doing the 'speeches' b/c we had already put some thought into each person and were able to put thoughts into words more easily.
Also I will say that DH and I were SOOOO nervous about this but it was totally fine!! It didn't help that that day was SO stressful for us (way more than the actual wedding day!), so we were as stressed as possible and it went great!
Sorry so long, but I thought it might help! Good luck!!

Cool! Where are you getting yours from? I'm using picaboo. I have all the photos formatted and uploaded, now I just have to pay and order.
