Silver Fox

Well, their website is amazing! We have an appointment with them next week. I am just looking for some feedback - positive or negative. Also, do their packages include photojournalism or is it extra?

The photojournalist was extra. It was the only reason why we didnt book with them. Their work is amazing!!

Re: Silver Fox

Everything is a la cate. I believe a traditional photographer is $1100 & a photojournalist is $900. I'm not sure if you can just have a photojournalist if you want.

Then you can add on prints & albums if you want.
Either way, they give you negatives & prooffs.
The tradioanal photographer is color & film, the Photojournalist is B &W & digital.

We loved their work, so we booked them for video and photo.
SoontobeMsZ is correct- they only have a la carte- you make your own poackage.
We are actually only only paying for the photographers (2 one regular, one photojournalist) and the vidoe before the wedding. After we get the proofs, then we will pick out the albums and thank you s that we want (you get all the proofs and negatives w/ the photographers)

Their photographer is unlimited (all day) for $1250 and their photjournalist is $900 (for eight hours). If you want albums and prints, it is al a carte. I think their albums start at $300 for a flush mount and go up from there.
I also think that their package includes a an engagement photo shoot (You get 2 free 8x10s). If you are getting married next year they will be doing only digital. John the owner said they will be phasing out of film, so if that is important to you, let him know.

My FH and I went there and were really impressed. Their owner John is great. I thought he was the most professional out of all the places we went (however he runs the office and does not do shoots that often anymore). Their video is amazing!!! We almost went with them, but decided to go with 12th night because were able to talk directly with the individual who would be shooting our wedding. It was very important for us to be able to meet with the photographer who would be shooting out wedding before we booked.

If you go with them, you won't be disapponted!

That's interesting. . .
I'm getting married the same day, but htis year, ( I booked in March) so I wasn't told about phasing out film.
I was also quoted $1100 for traditional, and an engagement shoot wasn't mentioned.

I met with one of the photjouralists, but he won't be doing our wedding. I didn't ask if we could meet our photographers, but we did see their albums.

Re: Silver Fox

I am also using Silverfox. We were going to get one photographer and one photojournalist but we then decided not to. We are getting one photographer that shoots traditional shots as well as photojournalistic ones. (Don) We haven't met with him yet but we will in a few weeks. He is going to do our engagement shoot as well as meet and talk with him for. I think that is good so we can see if we like his work, if not we can change. John told us that he will be using film as well as digital.

Most places if you want an extra photographer it is extra. You can have either or. We are having a Main and a Photojournalist. We met with John the owner but you can arrange to meet with your own photographer.

I am so excited that we hired them. There work is amazing!! Good Luck

I am also using Silverfox. I loved John, he was great. I am getting the magazine style album and he was the only one that said I can have lots of input creating the album. All the others said I was stuck choosing the templates that they have. That is what made me sign with them besides the fact that their work is amazing.
Everyone else is correct, packages are all al la carte. I am using 2 photographers, a traditional and a photojournalist. My wedding is next year and I had them put in my contract that the traditional photographer (Frank) would use film. He is also going to take our e-shots and if we don't like him, we can change photographers. But I am sure it is not a problem. They also do not use freelance photographers, everyone is a full time employee. Which is good because they are invested in the company.
Good luck choosing!

I just posted engagement pics that we took with John. He was really great and I am pleased. FH hates taking pics and he came out nice in most of them!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Re: Silver Fox

we looked at Silverfox and loved the work . We did not use them because a friend did but at the last minute they changed her photographer to Frank who was a bit rude on the job , Her pictures were nice but not as nice as what she had viewed at the studio, So we went with Leli Photo and Video and are getting the owner Gary who does beautiful work with some very new special affects that are done with digital.

Re: Silver Fox

My brother & sister-in-law used them last year in Feb for their wedding...My SIL is very disappointed with the outcome. The quality of pictures are good but the money they spent, she says was totally not worth it...Their video is horrible...The sound quality is not up to par & the picture is constantly jumping around. My SIL was impressed by the work in the studio, but it did not pan out to what they received. To this date, neither sets of parents have there videos & no one has their albums yet...It has been over a year now...

When my SIL saw my future SIL's proofs from ADA, she cried. The ADA pictures & video was amazing & was a lot less in $$. FI & I are definately using ADA just bc we have seen their work first hand & the people are amazing..

Just wanted to let you know opionions first hand

Everyone keeps saying they are so expensive. This is so untrue. We found them to be extremely reasonable. We actually expected the price to be higher. That's weird about Frank. He has come highly recommended by many Brides.
