My dress is white and has a lot of silvery accents - even the threading looks like it's silver. I have this feeling that my makeup should 'match' the dress -- I usually wear gold tone makeup because I feel it looks best on me, but I nhave this vision of having silvery sparkly eyes on my wedding day because I think it will pop and will look more like a whole package ... am I the only one who thinks their makeup should match the tones of their dress? My sister thinks I'm nuts, and a potential makeup artist I know also said she wouldn't use silver on me.

I agree with you! I think silver would look great. Doesn't necessarily have to be silver but anyhting with silver tones....a purpley silver is pretty...

I have silver in my dress as well, and although I wont necessarily be having silver toned makeup (more mauves and pinks)......I do think IMO, gold tones may possibly look off with your dress??

I think it depends, I think silver makeup looks hott on really tan girls .. but this is why you have makeup trials, defiantly try it i sounds like it would be gorgeous!

That is what I think. I look really good in brown shirts, etc, and thus I wear brown/gold eye makeup a lot. I used to wear silver eye shadow, looked ok then but now when I try to do it I don't like it! but sparkly lite grey might work.... I like how i look in pink eye shadow, like a mauve, so maybe I will do that combined with some glittery stuff. :)

Yeah, I may try that. I like mauve on me better than purple, although everyone says purple would look good on me - I hate it. Pinky-mauve looks nice.

i would def go with charcoal greyish and pearlish white than i would go with silver..you makeup artist will know what to do so dont worry about it..

Yeah, I want like a pearly look. That's the perfect word, thank you! I want to look ethereal if that makes sense. Very heavenly And I think pearl tones get that across best. I am going to experiment for christmas eve I think!

what about light grays and black eyeliner and mascara?
i have very light skin, blue eyes and dark hair - so i fall into the cool colors for make up - i usually dont wear those colors BUT those colors can look great on pale girls depending on what kind of skin tone and eye color you have.

I wore silvery eyeshadow around my eyes...and bronzy shades of shadow...i loved it...

I used silver and grey tones at my trial-- pics in album. My dress has a lot of silver in it as well.

I think that may work but see if you can get a trial first. Also, since you tend to wear gold tones, the silver tone may give you a whole 'new look' on your special day.

You might want to do a trial at home and take some pictures because I love the way mauve looks on me but I HATE the way it looks in pictures. FH said I look beaten up. Good luck.
