Silver trouser socks w/White open-toed sandals
Is this ok, or a major fashion faux pas? Do they even make silver trouser socks? Not sure I've ever seen them. Not that it matters, no one will be able to see my feet anyway.

IMO, any socks with open-toed sandals would be a major faux pas. Sorry. But if you're wearing them for comfort on a day you NEED to be comfortable and not one person will see... why not? Wear polka dot or something, it wouldn't matter.

I'm not into socks with open-toed shoes either. Why don't you buy a close-toed shoe? Why do you even need socks? It won't be that cold in May.

I know, I know, it really is an awful look. I just worry that my feet will have blisters by the end of the day if I go without...and I already bought the shoes. I guess I'll just have to break them in before the day ...

Why don't you try an opaque tight in place of trouser socks. They would give you a bit more protection on your feet than stockings but wouldn't look as odd as trouser socks

they also have stuff you put on to prevent blisters.
Stay away from trouser socks and open toe...

Re: Silver trouser socks w/White open-toed sandals
No offense but please don't do that. If you are wearing open toe shoes, either go without stockings or get stocking made for wearing with open toe shoes. I don't think they make silver trouser socks, the closest might be a light grey.
