Since I am broke, this is what I did for FH for Valentines day. What do you think?

I made 6 little heart shaped cakes all decorated differently. They represent the 6 Valentines days we have spent together.

I got him a box of choc covered cherries (his favorite)

I got him a balloon that says Happy Valentines day.

I got him two cards, a funny one, and a romantic 'boyfiend' (I have never gotten him a boyfriend card before, and this will be my last chance)

Do you think this is cheesy? Should I go get him a REAL gift?!?

No it is not cheesy. I think that is so cute and nice of you. I am sure your FH will appreciate the time and thought that you put in it.

What you did is better than any store bought gift.

Not cheesy at all. It shows a lot of love and effort. By the way, what makes you think that baking cakes aren't a 'real gift'??? FH would be thrilled if I did that (although what he really wants is apple pie that I didn't have the time to make yesterday, and cannot possibly make before 7:15 PM this evening )

That is a 'real' gift. It came from your heart.

That's a lovely gift, he should be happy to receive it and happy that he has you to celebrate V-day with!! The amount of $$ you spend has NOTHING to do with how much you love him!!

It's an incredible and thoughtful gift!

I think it is a great idea and very crafty. The idea of 6 cakes to represent each Valentine's that you have spent together was a great concept.

That's great! We decided on no gifts at all this year and I got him a nice card and a scratch-off!

I agree. It's the thought that counts. Who really cares what the amount is that you, or he spent. The point is that you, both still recognize the love that you share w/ eachother.

That's just my opinion
