since i changed my name this week [UPDATE!]

i quit my job early. i was going to work through today and cash my check [there was no delayed pay cycle] and be done. but they yelled at me for taking the morning off [to get my name changed 2.5 months after the wedding] and since i had a new job lined up already, i just quit on the spot.

so now i'm chicken and don't want to go get my check for last week and monday...but i want my check. i can just see them NOT paying me though. GRRR.

i should just suck it up and go in being a snot and just get my check...but i hate confrontation and i could see it being one.

UPDATE:
So I went over at 1 and asked for my check which she'd neglected to write [I usually have my check handed to me at noon] because she 'didn't think I'd come by today.' So I told her I'd done that project for her and said I'd come back in an hour [she had to call the accountant to find out what to pay me]. I got my check..I'm on my way now to cash it [not taking the chance of depositing it ] and buy some new clothes for my new job.

THANKS for all the encouragement. I was truly nervous.

go get it - they can't not pay you for wages earned - its illegal. i can understand you're feeling uncomfortable. be strong!

or maybe call ahead and let them know you will be stopping in to pick it up so its brief and ready
