Since you were all so helpful on the wine topic...

Could you help me find Christmas stockings?? I'm looking for something a little different, but not too far out there. I'd love something in silver and white, but I'm guessing that will be hard to find. Anyone have any suggestions where I can look??

I just bought a beautiful tree skirt that was white with silver snowflakes on it and silver trim from Franks. They also has matching stockings to go with it.

Good luck!

Fortunoff's has a huge Christmas dept in their basement.

Martin Viette in Old Brookville also has really unique things.

I'm not sure if they had silver and white, but believe it or not, KMart had really lovely Christmas decorations, including stockings in the Martha Stewart Holiday section. You might want to check it out :)

Did you try Macy's or Harrow's? They have a pretty decent sized selection.

Re: Since you were all so helpful on the wine topic...

Ditto what everyone else said! And like Somedaybride, I also was shocked to find that Kmart had such beautiful decorations this year!! I'm not a Martha fan at all, but her decorations this year are really nice. I bought some of the bows and picked up for my friend the blue stockings w/the snowflake design on them (made w/bugle beads or whatever those things are -- I'm so good at describing, aren't I??).

Also, check out a Christmas store in the mall or something like that! They're usually a bit more pricey, but they have different stuff sometimes.

I LOVE shopping for Christmas decorations (but HATE Christmas shopping) -- I can never have enough and if I come home with one more thing, Joe will kill me!!

Re: Since you were all so helpful on the wine topic...

I know I got some catalogs that had some nice selections. I know one of them was Pottery Barn, and maybe (surprisingly) Hold Everything.

Actually I was in Linens and Things, and B.B &B and they ahd nice stuff too.
