Well my fiancee likes me to sing to him... I was going to sing 'From this Moment' after the vows during the ceremony and another song he likes during the reception...
his parents don't like me much and im concerned their going to not like me singing or call it the 'christina show' - anyone else heard of people singing at their weddings? do you think it would be too much or rude?
Your day is about you and your FH and if he likes you to sing to him and you feel comfortablee doing so, DO IT. If it is the Christina show, so be it, heck it is your wedding!

It's your day, dont worry about what others will say. My best friends' hubby sang to her during the ceremony & everyone was in tears, very touching.

Re: Singing at wedding...
I think it's a very sweet gesture. I considered singing Etta James' 'At Last' at my wedding, but decided that I would probably be too emotional and not be able to get through the song.
If you're concerned about your FIL's calling it the 'Christina Show', then why not just sing one song? That might make it more special anyway.
HTH!

Re: Singing at wedding...
I cantor at many weddings, but i won't do my own. i get realyl picky when sing, and i know i will be so emotional and choked up that i won't sound good, so i won't do it. i also feel like i don't want to worryabotu anything else and i want the day to be about US and not just me.
However, a friend of mine sang the communion hymn at his wedding and it was wonderful! it was very touching. (He was the groom!)
