Is anyone sitting with their bridal party at their reception? I know its not very traditional, however we have being the center of attention (even though it goes with the territory) and we know that our friends will make it easier and a lot more fun. Problem is.....two of my bridesmaids are married....I know they want to sit with their husbands...I would too, but what do you do about the bf/gfs husbands/wives....do you just sit those separately and stick with the singles?

we'll do a sweetheart table, and then I think we're going to mix our BP into tables we know they will be comfortable at. Either that, or we'll make a bridal party table...I'm not sure yet.
At my brother's wedding, i was in the BP but sat at the table furthest away from them... it was kind of wierd, i'm immediate family and wasnt seated up front... but i did sit with my cousins who i'm closest with, it was a kiddie table only we were all over 19 lol

It is definately awkward. I have been to weddings where FH was in the wedding party, I knew nobody and he sat at a separate table than me. That is why I am having BP and their dates at our table. Again, the size of our BP allows for that. If it were larger, I would have MOH, Best Man and their dates sit with us, since I don't want to sit by ourselves, kind of lonesome!
OMG I love this idea. I have a HUGE bridal party so I will sit with the MOH's and BMen and thier dates. THANKS!!

I've been in weddings where we had a head table for the entire BP and it was okay. I would have prefered to sit with FH, but it was fine. We are putting the BP with their SO.

We are also doing the sweetheart table. Our bridal party will sit with their dates. I am not sure if I will do two bridal party tables or not, or if I will scatter the bridal party with whomever they are friends with. On the girls side I am not so worried, but with the boys, sitting the 3 different mixes of people together would be weird to me. But will figure this out when the time comes

FH and I will be at our own table and the groomsmen and their dates will be at one table and the bridesmaids and theirs will be at another. I refuse to sit them separately without their dates. Makes it so uncomfortable for them!

We're sitting at a sweetheart table and the BP will be seated with their dates. We thought about sitting with the BP and their dates, but we want some time alone and we don't really care for some of their dates.

honestly girls dont even worry about where youre sitting bc you wont really get to sit alot...Just for speeches and then when you eat which even then you'll barely get to eat

we wanted to sit with our bp but it's just to big. I don't want to leave their dates out. I would hate that sitting with strangers at a wedding. we might just have moh/her bf and best man/his gf with us though.

I feel that you should let the people sit with their dates, mates, or whoever they bring with them! I also think that you really won't be sitting all that much. But it is your wedding so if you want them with you, that is where they should be.

i agree the bm's should sit with their s/o's.... we are having our own table and the bridal party and their guests will sit together at another table.

yea i mean, not me personally but if one of your BM's is your best friend and another is FH's sister, no reason for them to all be at the same table either
i would sit them with their other friends or family
