skin problems

I know I am probably being a crazy bride but I want my skin to be clear for my wedding. I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide so I can't use anything with that. Does anyone have any hints on products etc. that will eliminate breakouts (even prescription)? Thanks!

Have you tried cetaphil? Not sure if what you are allergice to is in it offhand but if not try it. It has helped my skin a lot since I've been using it. Also Aveeno products are great too.

Do you have normal, dry or oily skin?

I have oily and i was really scared about breaking out for my wedding. Every night i would use Mint Jelup mask by Queen Helene. It is wonderful, i would leave it on for 15 minutes every night so my pores wouldn't be clogged and by skin would not be so oily. It definately works. You can get it in CVS.

Proactive works really well, I am just not sure if it has those ingredients in them.

I just bought this Aveeno exfoliating cleanser.. and I went on Microsgestin, bc pills, and my skin looks amazing!!!! I've tried everything.. i think my problems are more hormone related.. but definatley try that aveeno, you by it at any pharmacy.. good luck..

Definately try Cetaphil. It is cheap and really works. Thats the only over the counter product I have ever seen a real life dermatologist suggest.

I am pretty sure Proactiv contains benzoyl peroxide. Cetaphil, i think, does not.
Keep your face clean (remove oil and dirt) and wear oil-free lotions, look for salicylic acid or azelaic acid on the label. I have also heard that moderate tanning can help clear up acne.
