Skincare question...

Skincare question...

...My epics are in under 2 weeks, and my face looks like a war zone right now. I have a decent concealer that I could use when I do my makeup, but the huge lumps I have will kind of make it obvious..
Does anyone have any tips/hints/products that you can reccomend that will clear majority of this mess up? Would a facial sometime this week help?

I cant stress enough that you need to go to the dermatologist.

You can get professional help. And you will have enough time to clear the problem up.

Re: Skincare question...

a facial will help but if you are going to spend the money on a facial...if i were you....i would go straight to the dermatologist and have them help you out. i broke out like CRAZY with stress just before i started to student teach and I went to the dermatologist and he stuck the little blemishes with a needle and gave them each a little shot of medicine and gave me a prescription for a cream and special face wash and my face cleared up and was pretty balanced in a week and a half....just in time before student teaching. when they give you the shot in each blemish, it dries them up and they will be gone in like two to three days. hope this helps!

if they won't see u until june then try another dermatologist office that takes your insurance to see if they can see you sooner.

Re: Skincare question...

go to another dermatologist. anything over the counter might have too much alcohol in it, which will dry out your skin. that wil cause ur skin to produce more oil and then ull break out even more. dont touch ur face, wash it with dove soap and water 'til u go to the dermatologist.

or u can get ur make up done professionally?

Re: Skincare question...

i wouldnt try something new, they mostly work like it has to get worse before it gets better,so thats kind of scary! I would try to see an estitician if you cant see the Dr. They have this new stuff by neutrogena and its called Stressed out, its the only over the counter medicne with glycolic in it.. I have heard its good

Re: Skincare question...

try going to another derm. that takes your insurance but i agree i w/ the above poster, it might be risky to try a new medicine b/c some make your acne worse before starting to get better.. good luck!!

I swear by gentle cleansing and dabs of Clean and Clear Persage, religiously!!! Keep skin clean, no makeup, and use a heavy duty pimple cream to dry those suckers out!

I have the same problem! All of sudden I broke out like if I was a teenager! All on my cheeks and it was making me so depressed, I've never had acne this bad. My Dermatologist wants to put me on Accutane....I'm still thinking if I should.....

I heard glycolic peel facials are good for acne and cell turn over. They usually recommend six session but you can honestly see results after the first one. The only thing is that I would go early for any facial you are thinking about because you don't know how sensitive your skin might be to the products since your pics are coming up.

Re: Skincare question...

I use the CLinique spot treatment in their acne line. I have super sensitive skin, and it will clear those bad boys right up! It does dry out your skin a bit, so use it soon and moisturize like crazy before and after.

HTH!

Re: Skincare question...

I use proactiv and the Refining Mask, the one Jessica Simpson talks about on the informercial is AWESOME!!! I would stick to your normal regimine (so you don't get any kind of reaction from something you arn't used to) and go get the refining mask as spot treatment. I use it overnight, was it off in the am and within a day or two those suckers are history!!!

Re: Skincare question...

ohhhhhhhhhh my MOH is selling arbonne, I went to get my nails done on saturday
(ok back story- MOHs aunt used to own a hair salon, she sold it to a friend. MOH is a teacher, but works at the salon on saturdays answering phones, now the NO (new owner) got MOH into arbonne)

k so.. yea I go to get my nails done and NO is trying to sell me on arbonne, and honestly, I'm cheap... I'm not spending $13.00 for one shade of eyeshadow... so she pulls out this pore stuff and puts it on my hand.. OMG its amazing, now I have pretty clear skin, but MOH and her sisters don't... they all use this stuff in it works GREAT!!!!!!!

love it

Re: Skincare question...

I always use Persa Gel. But I also dont normally wear make up becuase I know it makes me break out. So maybe dont wear any make up between now and then, and try persa gel.
