Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

Has anyone used the band Rhapsody from Skyline Orchestras? I've been to two showcases and loved them both times. But now I am hearing a lot about their other band code bleu, or course that's the ONLY one I did not see in a show case. I've already booked Rhapsody and not afraid they will be bad, I would just like some feedback from anyone who has used them! Thanks! It's greatly appreciated!

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

Im not sure what your crowd is like but Code Bleu was a little too mellow for me. They were good but seemed more appropriate for a wedding for a couple in their late 30s/40s.

Sorry - never heard Rhapsody.

Rhapsody is the other band Skyline Orchestras features. Thanks for the feedback on Code Bleu though!

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

I had Rhapsody at my August wedding and they were fabulous! We've gotten great feedback. Plus, they really did a great job with the songs we asked them to learn (and we asked them to learn more than usual). We also had a huge age range (from 10 to 80) and all ages really enjoyed them.

I would definitely recommend them. Let me know if you have any specific questions (I also had the keyboard player do my ceremony and cocktail hour).

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

Thank you for your response! I feel a lot better! Like I said, I am not worried that they will not be entertaining, I saw two showcases and loved them each time! I was just concerned because I haven't heard too much of anyone using them and wanted to make sure I didn't jump too soon. I too am having the keyboard player for my cocktail hour. I thought that was a nice touch.

Thanks again!

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

OctBride: just so you don't think i can't read - i wanted to post my estimation of code bleu just so you know that they aren't all that perfect for a young wedding and not be upset if you hear a lot of great things about them and not Rhapsody. I think Rhapsody is not as popular but can be just as good.

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

Sonicstef,

Never thought you couldn't read... but like I said thank you for your feedback... considering my crowd is mixed I'm glad I did not go with code bleu, now I know it may not have been entertaining enough for the younger part of the crowd

Thanks for the pep talk regarding Rhapsody though, I guess you can't always go by what your hear or don't hear. You'll make yourself nuts that way!

Thanks! :o)

Re: Skyline Orchestras - Rhapsody

Im sure they will be great!

Im using a band from a popular agent but that virtually no one on this board has used - so I understand how you can make yourself crazy.

I have never heard them play before, but they have sent me like 6 postcards.
