I am getting annoyyyyedddd......I'm getting married on 6/20 and my BM dresses aren't ordered yet. It took a little while for me to make a decision on the dresses b/c all the girls wanted this or that so finally they're picked and now it's a pain in the A to get some of them to place the order. Is it ME or isn't it kind of obvious that my wedding is in 4 months and these babies need to get ordered.
My best friend went last night and ordered hers, she's the best and is emailing all the girls like LETS GOO!!! I don't know what i'd do without her. As for the others..........
1 is pregnant and being a pain in the A because she is hormonal so she doesn't know if she wants to have her alterations done at RK or just do no frills and get the alterations on her own.
1 is waiting on the preggo BM to make her decision and will decide then.
1 is so far away and needs me to 'take her'.
1 is unresponsive.
and my MOH ~ I offered to meet her in the city this afternoon and literally get her from Penn Station, pay for a cab and bring her myself, take her to dinner and order her dress but she 'can't'. SO...she comes out with ....... 'hey do you mind if I order my dress from this other place b/c it's cheaper??' ummm YEA I MIND! They're holding all the sizes until all girls are sized so they can place the order together and they will all get dyed together. UMMM This is why I asked everyone if there was any problems with the dress/place/money before we nailed down a decision. She waits until NOW to ask me????
W......T.........F?? Sorry so long but really.........cmon.

I would your BMs listen. We need to seriously look for BM dresses. If you dont want to come, then you have no say in the style. Once you pick out the dress tell her the style number and its her duty to get it on her own. Your the bride and have soo many other responsibilities than worrying about how they are getting their dresses altered or taking them places!

wHAT YOU NEED to do is give them a date ( tell them the story said it is getting late) and if all the dresses are not ordered by a certain date then they will not order them.. They will have to pay an extra fee.. I had problems in the beginning wtih the same thing.. tracking down 6 girls to go to a store a order there dress but i just told that I needed the dresses ordred by November 1, My wedding is in July... try that. you shouldn 't have to deal with this nonsense!

Ooohhhi like the idea of telling them about a fee. CAll or send an e mail saying that since it's so close to the wedidng if they aren't all ordered by this date a rush charge will have to be incurred. Maybe that will speed up their process!

That's so funny you mentioned about probably shouldn't post and I didn't even realize that there may be stalkers, yikes!!
You are absolutely right about the fee's and there will be a rush fee if it's not ordered on time. I know everyone's got a life but at the least just get measured and call your own size in ~ they don't even need to physically go there.
GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! I don't even know what to say.

Sorry that you are going through this. Having your Best Friend send an email is a good idea. You need to make sure they understand that if they don't order it soon then they will not get in on time and that this is your wedding that they agreed to be in.

I am not having problems with my dresses but with the girls getting shoes and the proper earrings and them waiting for me to tell them what to do it becomes frustrating and one of my moh's I literally have to spells things out for her how am I suppose to help there is nothing for me to do. So I have to tell her when i ask you to go dress shopping clear your schedule I don't move on your time this is my time be selfish when its yours. Absolutely frustrating

I agree, it is your day and dont let anyone get in the way of that. If you need to become a bridezilla to get things done then so be it I would just tell them that it is really important to get these ordered to guarantee that you will have them for the wedding and you cant wait any more.

Sometimes as much as it s.u.c.k.s you just have to expect the worst in people because when you expect everyone to be helpful or a good friend to you you wind up getting disappointed. Just dont sweat it, by the end of you wedding you will see who stuck by you and who didnt. In the meantime try focusing on the bridesmaids that are good and that do help so you dont get yourself aggravated.

If you are doing the no frills program, can't they just go somewhere else to get measured and give you the measurements? That's what my BMs are doing.

Re: Slacking BM's Anyone????
when your wedding is really far away and you're asking for too much it can get annoying.....but if its right around the corner and your BM’s arent doing what they are supposed to - in your case 4 months away - then its ok to be a “bridezilla”

i am getting married in MAy and ordered in Dec!
I told the girls i they didnt order the dresses by the date i told them...they couldnt be in the BP ...hated to be so harsh but i needed to get it done cause it could take up to 4 months to get the dresses in!!
Id tell them they have to get done now or they wont have a dress witch means they cant be in the BP...

I am having probs too... one of my BM's is complaining about the dress price meanwhile she owes me $500!!!! So technically, I am paying for her dress and alts...
You have to just be a B!@# about it.. they need to get their A's in gear.. I have a preggo BM as well and I told her to order about 2 sized bigger than normal bc she wil have had the baby 3 months before the wedding.. i figured she would always keep getting it altered... Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Re: Slacking BM's Anyone????
you should let your frind order her dress from another store if she wants or offer to pay the difference...........IMHO
Otherwise it's going to be a never ending battle

hahaha so true, sometimes thats what you need to do to get things done. It doesnt matter when, how, why or where some people will just always give you a problem about doing stuff, possibly because they just arent interested or maybe because they dont know how much it means to you for them to just go with teh flow and stop complaining

thats a good idea too - you have to look at things from their point of view - i always try and put myself in their shoes.....id hate for them to spend $200 or more on a dress they will wear one day - im trying to find the dress i choose for as cheap as possible for them....you have to remember that your girls do have a lot to pay for when it comes to your wedding....im trying to help mine out as much as i can so i dont feel guilty when its all said and done but your in a sticky situatuon b/c your wedding is right around the corner!

Re: Slacking BM's Anyone????
Just put your foot down...they agreed already to the place, etc. No flip flopping....let them know that this stresses you out and that as your bridal party you expect them to be reliable.
I haven't even gotten my BM's together. I think ultimately I'm just going to pick the dresses I like for them, since I'm well aware of what they are self concious of. Plus I'm doing different dress for the Bm;s and JBM's since their body types are so different anyway due to their ages.
