Sleeping aids the night before the big day??

Suggestions? I couldn't sleep at all the night before my second shower/bachelorette party. THere is no way I am going to get sleep the night before the wedding. My mom suggested Tylenol PM...any other ideas??

Don’t do it! Tylenol PM can leave you with a hangover the next day – seriously. And worse… if you still can’t sleep then you will be drugged up and tired. This happened to me once (with NyQuil). I felt horrible all day!

I’m planning on having a few glasses of wine, or better yet, some cocktails the night before. That should help

Tylenol Simply Sleep the best!! You take it about an hour before bed. And you sleep the night away. BUT you don't wake up groggy or anything!! And it doesnt make you feel dopey!

Don't do it!!! I took Ambien on our HM flights and I was dizzy and out of it the following day. I also get a different hangover feeling with Tylenol PM, and when I wake up for a minute on it, I can't fall back to sleep and I feel awful.

Try a glass of wine or a Benadryl or 2 instead.

It has to be a relly powerful sleep med, the OTC ones won't work for me. I'll just have to be prepared to stay up for like 36 hours.

I would do a trial run beforehand to see how you're effected the following day!

Thats what I was going to do but I never got around to it. I always have the hardest time falling asleep as it is. But the night before the wedding this calm feeling came over me and fell asleep around 1 AM (had to get up at 8:30).

I honestly think (and judging by my own experience) that you will sleep with no problem! I was up for 48 hours by the time my wedding rolledc around and the night before I slept for 5 hours without a problem...I wouldn't worry too much, I also thought I wasn't going to sleep, but your body knows - don't take anything.

Ambien is mild, but you need a script for it.

Benadryl works pretty well for me--knocks me out every time. That is over the counter. Just get the regular Benadryl--you don't need other stuff in it to sleep.

Whatever you take, I would try before the night before to see if it works and what effect it has on you.

Depending on your tolerance level of alcohol I would go for thw wine. 1 glass and I am mellow yellow....2 glasses and I am a puddle

So we will stick to the 1 glass.

The rehearsal dinner is going to be like a reunion for me with my friends from overseas, so I have a feeling I'll have quite a few drinks and sleep lik a baby.

I took ONE Tylenol PM the night before the wedding. I took it at 8pm, so it was early enough to get a decent night's sleep. Two (the normal dose) make me groggy in the morning.

I tested this before-hand. It worked like a charm for me!!! I wouldn't take anything without testing it prior.

i am definitly going with the wine, I love nyquil, but i always seem to have weird dreams when i take it and u do need about a good 12 hours of sleep with it, otherwise u will still feel groggy in the morning

i think i will have 1 1/2 to 2 glasses of wine, that will put me out, and wont make me feel hungover. I have to get up at 5:30am
