sleeping in her swing...

sleeping in her swing...

For the past couple of nights Madeleine will only sleep in her swing. I nurse her right before I attempt to put her in her cradle, but the moment I put her down she freaks out. But if I nurse her and put her down in her swing, she's perfectly fine.

Is it bad that she's sleeping in her swing? She's 4 1/2 weeks old.

She sleeps in her crib in the daytime... but I have to admit that I haven't tried putting her in her crib... her room just seems so far away and I worry that she's too young to be sleeping in her room all by her lonesome...

Molly sleeps in her swing every afternoon and mid-evening for her nap(s). It is fine. Many babies go thru an period of time where sleeping is difficult. If the swing helps, then the swing it is.

Nicolas naps AT LEAST once a day in his swing, sometimes twice a day, and has since birth. In fact, that's where he is right now.

If Madeleine is happy and content, she's fine.

Re: sleeping in her swing...

use the swing...dont worry..

altho you also may want to try...after nursing baby at night...if baby falls asleep..you have to wait a while until they are in a deep uenuf sleep to get out of your seat and put them in the crib.

I was told about this..I thought as soon as J;s eyes would close I could get up to put her in bed..and she would ALWAYS wake up...

you have to wait a spell...a good test is to take their hand and raise it a bit. then let go..if it immediatly flops down they are SOUND ASLEEP

HTH!
