I had my sliding glass door in my den replaced last spring and have yet to figure out some kind of window treatment. I don't want blinds, or anything heavy looking. Anyone have any photos and/or ideas? Thanks

Re: sliding glass door wondow treatments
I had mine open for a year deciding what to do. Mine are in my family room. I finally bought pleated curtains in a cream/ivory color. Gives my privacy and more warmth in the room. Because they are pleated they fold up nicely and the doors are still 100% useful. Everyone always suggested verticals but they weren't my style. I don't have any pictures because they are a pretty recent addition.
I also like the look of sheers with drapes over them that can tie back easily - but it depends on how much room you have to make the doors useable. You can keep the drapes down for more privacy and warmth and pulled up for a more open and airy look.

I was just thinking of the same thing. We are having French doors installed in the kitchen and I was wondering what kind of covering to get. Please take a picture when you get a chance. Thanks!

I am a little afraid of shears, because the walls are pretty light (cream with just off white trim). Does anyone have any pics? thanks :)

The ones I used are kind of like this style - just try to picture over sliding glass doors - they scrunch up real close - I got them at Sears and they had cream, sage, egglant, etc. MY walls are sage so I went with cream - also afraid a color may fade in the sunlight.

Thanks for the pic. I like the rod. I was debating about a metal rod, or the chunkier wooden rod with rings or tab-top curtains. There are so many options -- and when i go to the store, I feel like I hate a lot of them!

My mom has a curtain like that over the sliding glass door. The curtain matches the ones on the windows. You can kinda see it in the back of this picture, they are open in this pic. The is the only pic I could find, sorry!
