Slip Question

Slip Question

I just bought a slip from David's Bridal and now I am thinking that I just don't love it. Not that I need to love my slip but I'm just not 100% on it. It zips up in the back and has to be worn high (under the bra line). The one I tried on at Macy's with my dress was at the waist and had a tie back.

So my question: does anyone have/had a slip that tied close and if so how much and where did you purchase it?

I don't have one, but I know that d&d05 has one because I was going to borrow hers. You might want to ask her. Hope this helps!

this may be a stupid question, but what exactly is the purpose of wearing a slip??? Is it just to add fullness to the dress???

Okay - going to sneak off to Macy's to see how much they are there. FH would kill me if he knew I was going to buy another one. Can I return the one I bought yesterday to David's?

Re: Slip Question

The sales person opened the slip so I could try it on but it still has the tags on. Is that okay?

Re: Slip Question

i could be. when i go for my fitting, i'm getting a smaller slip since with the weight i lost, the slip would be big. i told them that its still sealed, they said i could get a smaller size. since they're the ones that opened it, you may be able to return it. good luck

If mine is somehow of any use (I know you lost a lot - you look great!) wanna buy it? I'll sell it for half price if I get one at Macy's.

I bought the same one from davids, its sitting in my closet, I bought the tie one instead at Tatianas bridal in queens, its the very full ball gown one. I never even had a chance to return the one to davids.

ETA: the tie one was $45

Re: Slip Question

I bought mine off of ebay. It was elastic waist with a clip to make it tighter. It was a crinoline with a hoop. I got by the seller for angel's bridal and it was ultra full. It was only like $30 maybe 40 the most
