Re: slip question ...
I had to get a slip for my gown- I got it at David's Bridal for $50 which I didn't think was that bad.
It just helps the dress stay puffed out a bit...

Re: slip question ...
I think some dresses need a slip depending on the cut of the dress. Ballgowns/aline need to have a little fullness to it. But, it really depends on what you want.
I know ebay sells them

You do not really need one. Bridal salons usually sell them.

I wasn't gonna get one, but I was told it makes the dress look fuller and shows off any detail on the dress better and since my dress has detail on the bottom I'm probably gonna get one. Luckily for me my sister is getting married in November and I can just steal hers!!

Re: slip question ...
I tried my dress on with a slip at one store and without at another. I like the way it looks like with the slip. I haven't bought one yet because Geri (at Lillettes) didn't pressure me to buy one there...she is so great...she told me to try to borrow one from a friend.

Re: slip question ...
I'm getting one for my dress (A Line also). I'm not sure where I'm going to get mine either, I feel the same way about the bridal store charging a lot. There are a ton on ebay (but make sure you get the right one for your dress). I've also heard that a vendor in tricounty sells them. I will definitely be checking them out when it comes time.
