Slipper basket

Slipper basket

Hi ladies!

How many of you are doing a slipper basket? If so, about how many pairs do you plan on purchasing?

Any married girls who had them at their weddings....Were they a hit or not?

I'm really on the fence about this one and I'm looking for opinions.

TIA!

Re: Slipper basket

I originally was planning on doing one but I don't think we are. I know when I go to a wedding I usually bring my own flip flops and I know a lot of my friends that are girls that will be going to the wedding do the same thing so I think it would be a waste of money in our case.

I agree.. I'm not doing one. (Never even heard of them til I joined this site!)

I've always bought my own 'comfy' shoes for dancing etc... or gone barefoot!

i was totally NOT planning on doing one until i went to a wedding without them and got blisters all over my feet. So i decided to spend the $100 on flip flops and ribbon and just have them.

I ordered 72 flip flops (for 130-ish guests in total ... so about 65 women)

im doing it, bought about 150 pairs (expecting around 300 people), and last night just confirmed it, i was at a baptism and heard the br attendent sold them to guests but ran out of sizes so only 5 women were saved while the others were dying lol

That's what I did too! I wasn't going to do them at all originally but then I just decided to last week. I thought it would be a nice touch. BTW...I just picked them up a few days ago and they are perfect. HTH

I'm doing this - wasn't going to originally but I've heard that they're a big hit, and of course I want to accommodate my guests, so I'm doing 70 pairs for prob about 100 women... first come first serve

i got a deal from old navy, just under $2/pair. check for promo codes online!

They had them at my FSIL's wedding....and they had like 70% of them left over. No one took them. I didn't even realize they were there until the end of the night. But they didn't make an annoucement about them either. I'm not doing them.

Same here it was a last minute decision. I'm happy I'm doing it.

We're having around 200 people. I got 72 slippers. I figured alot of the older women wouldnt go for them.

I guess I completely underestimated. I got about 30 pairs for about 300 people at the wedding. I assumed most people would bring (and I bought for the bridal party separate). Should I buy more??
