I saw some of you were doing slippers baskets (flip-flops were the pics I saw). I'm thinking of doing this except what about the girls wearing stockings. I was thinking those chinese slippers type shoes. The ones your feet just slid into.
Sidenote..A girl @ my job is getting married and when I told her about the basket she was like...UGHH..I'm not spending more $$..whenI go to a wedding I just bring sock???...I just ..like I want pics of people dancing/sliding all over the floor with white socks

dont talk about ur wedding to ppl at work.. or or to any1 in general. i find out ppl will always have something to say. if u wanna do something, go for it.
i think the slipper basket is a nice touch. its obviously another expense that will not be missed if u didnt have it. u can get chinese slippers online for a lot cheaper than u would in the stores, so if u decide to go for it..shop around.
ps, bringing socks with u to a wedding is soo tacky.

Socks?! I never saw anyone bring their own socks to wear on the dance floor. That would look silly. I think the slipper basket is a cute idea and your guests would appreciate it.

socks, lol. i used to bring socks to sweet 16's.
but about slipper baskets, if you have the money go ahead and do it. i will not be doing it because the weddings i have been to either people bring their own slippers to change into or people don't change.
those chinese slippers are a good idea. you could probably get them for cheaper then flip flops too.

I did flip flops 1. because anyone who knows me knows I would wear flip flops in the snow 2. They were banned at work so it is kind of an inside joke and 3. talking to a lot of my friends they don't wear stockings anymore
I think the chinese slippers are a fantastic idea. I would suggest ebay. I got a great deal on flip flops there.

I've never brought socks to a wedding...but when I go to big events like sweet 16s..bat mitzvahs..any big party with dancin i bring socks. I dont care if i look like a retard...im comfortable. i actually brought socks to twoty. i hate dancin in heels for 5 hours lol...so chinese slippers would be greatt for people like me who dont wanna wear heels andd kill my feet.

I am that person that used to bring socks... but after seeing FH and I at our College Ball with white socks. I realized I looked ridiculous! I now bring flip flops that match my dress...
I think flip flops in different colors look better, slippers might come in colors that don't match ppls dresses
