I keep seeing posts about slipper baskets and (forgive me if this is a really dumb question) but what are they for? Do you hand them out to the women as favors after the wedding? Are they for the BP? Or are they for guests to exchange their shoes for slippers if their feet hurt?
Any explanations are appreciated!

It is for the female guests at the wedding to change into at the reception if their feet hurt. It went over HUGE at my wedding

Thanks...it sounds like a great idea. I know I would have appreciated something like that at all of the weddings I've attended.
