slippers on your wedding day?

slippers on your wedding day?

My FH is only an inch taller than me. I bought a pair of shoes with a small heel on them, and stood next to him. Needless to say, they are going back to the store!

I want to wear ballet type slippers to the wedding, but I have been told that I should have some sort of heel on under my big dress.

Do you all agree? Can I get away with slippers? Are any of you wearing them?

I think that you can wear whatever you want to wear. I always wanted to be bear foot (but I know that is not practical!!!).

I wore ballet slippers. My seamstress adjusted the dress accordingly and it was perfect. I was very comfortable.

I sprained my ankle years ago and have lots of trouble walking in any heel.... so I bought a pair of off white sneakers! lol I'm still looking for a shoe, but I'm not trying hard since A) My dress is to the floor so no one will see my feet until after the ceremony and B) I'll be nice and comfy

I'm going to wear ballet slippers too but I got some good advice. MAKE SURE they are the supportive kind, like they have some type of hard surface because your ankles will be killing you by the end of the night with all the dancing. I woudl rather just buy them at the $1 store, but the woman did have a point

I will be bringing at least 2 paris of shoes w/ me. One of them will be a ballet slipper. FH and I are the same height but he never cares whether I wear heels or flats. I love that he is so comfortable with being short but I don't want to be taller on my wedding day.

Being that his cousin couldn't convince FH to get lifts for his shoes, I have to have a small heel to. I think I'm gonna do the little heel for the ceremony and I saw a great pair of slippers by Colorifics, and Ill wear them for the reception.
The slipper has a wedge heel so it's not that much difference in height with the shoe.

I am going to wear slippers at the reception. FH is about as tall as I am, but I am still going to get shoes with a small heel to wear to the church. Here are my reception slippers

these have a hard bottom and look cute with the ribbon IMO

the second pair i found at zappos.com which is where i got my shoes and i loved the service.
