Small (70-80 people) wedding at a restaurant in NYC?
Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has been to a wedding in a restaurant in NYC, and would recommend locations and give me rough info about the logisitics: price, whether I can also have a reception there, etc. It's hard to find reception halls for under 80 people, so I was thinking of maybe having it in a restaurant, Help, PLEASE!!!!!

I had my wedding at Tavern on the Green - it was perfect for my 70 person guest list.

St. Maggie's cafe in the city near Battery Park. I was quoted $75 a person, but that was when I first started searching in 05. Link

I was going to rec 3 West club.
You can also try the Seamens institute (by South street seaport).

All places above are reception halls (they can host weddings if you would like). Unfortunately, I called & had a # of 150...so the places were too small....

I've seen Candela in other photo albums while looking for a photog. I've been there to eat too- gorgeous. Very romantic & lots of Candles. By Union Square. Check it out.

How about a small intimate catering hall just outside of NYC. There are some great places only30-45 minutes outside the city on Long Island. Was recently at an Engagement Party at H on the Harbor in Port Washington, was fabulous so we booked our wedding reception for 75 people there. Food and atmosphere were great- cant wait.

Candela has actually closed down. We were supposed to have our 50 person wedding there this April and the owners called us two weeks before Christmas to let us know they were going out of business. It ******, but we found an even better place in the end.

I paid 125 PP (but I added extras so it came to about 140PP) in April but I booked in December last year.
