Small Dinner Reception

I am thinking of having a small reception dinner at a nice restaurant for about 50 people. Just dinner...no music and all the hoopla. I would prefer a private room, but not necessary, just as long as we could be a little noisy. Preferably north shore or NC. Any suggestions?

Small Dinner Reception

We went to a resturant recently that was beautiful and the food and service were terriffic. It's called DiMaggio's. It is on the water in Port Washington. We were there with a large group and like I said the service was great. I also believe the owners of this resturant own a few others as well you may want to check out. It really was a beautiful place. There was a small room, all windows looking out to the water. Not sure how many it holds though.

A close friend of mine did exactly what you want to do. (But they brought a CD player and danced a first dance, and played jazz during dinner). They had it at the George Washington Manor. It was really beautiful. They had a private room. Also, try the WaterMill in Smithtown.

San Souci in Sea Cliff is very charming. I went there for a tasting and the food was fabulous. We were going to book it, but our party got too big. Good luck!
