Small piece of advice

Sorry to crash, but I just wanted to dispense a piece of advice I had been given and totally ignored.

Everyone kept telling us that we should have video, I kept saying no we didn't need it. Well its four months later and DH & I were sitting witho ur photographer doing our album and realized just how fast the day went and what a complete blur it was.
While we didn't have the money for video, which is one of the big reasons we didn't do it we wish we had looking back.

So my advice is if you can feasbily fit into your budget, even if it means hiring a friend who has one, get it. You might only watch it once but it'll be worth it.

thanks for the advice! i really want video but we are on a budget so its gonna be hard.

Video is pretty important to me. While we are on a tight budget, I will surely make room in the budget to get video. I LOVE watching my sister's wedding video. It's so fun to look back at the best night of your life and laugh. Thanks for the advice, and I am sure your pictures are wonderful and captured the day beautifully!

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! Your adrenaline is pumping and the day is over in a blink of an eye!! Watching my video brought back so many great memories that I either forgot happened or just never saw!! I absolutely love my video!!

I agree, FH said that well we're having 2 photographers, that should be enough documentation but I told him that the video will capture those special, humorous, delightful moments we didn't even see happening..because the day will go by so fast. I just don't want the video to be cheesy.

Check out Halo video, they are good and inexpensive.

We want two types of photography styles. One traditional/photojouralism and one fashion type. The fashion type is shooting our wedding gratis as we've worked together on many photoshoots..so it's more like a gift.

Videography is something we go back and forth over but when it comes down to it, I think we'll spend the extra money and go for it. The way I think of it is that you'll have another few thousand dollars again but you'll (hopefully) never have another wedding!

I have a really tight budget, so I keep saying I'm not going to get video as I feel it won't be so important to me. My obsession is pictures, so thats where I don't mind spending the extra money. But now your making me think..

Hopefully it'll be do-able. If it is, I'll go for it!

thanks for the advice! i have to have video though, if nothing else you need photos and video, they are your memories that will be with you forever. I would rather go cheap in other areas or not got all out on certain things than to not have a videographer.
