Small review of Sand Castle tasting......

One word......INCREDIBLE! OMG....the food was amazing! The rack of lamb was to DIE for, the filet mignon so moist and juicy and the stuffed chicken was OMG...so freaking good. Loula (banquet manager) was incredible, as usual. My mom actually ended up tearing when hugging her goodbye. Soooo freaking cute!

For all you ladies who haven't booked a RH, I highly recommend that you check out the Sand Castle! Despite what you've read about cost and minimum guarantees, they will work with you in regards to budget.....if you're not hell bent on a Saturday night wedding then seriously....you MUST at least make a visit.

If your budget is around $100 pp and approx. 140 guest, this is certainly not a venue to pass over!!

Ok...enough with my promoting....the food and service is amazing, and I can't see myself having our wedding ANYWHERE else.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!

No, they actually set up the 'grooms suite' by the hospitality room for all of us. We had a single table with a couple bottles of wine and our choice of what the bar had to offer if we wanted. We had privacy to talk and discuss the food, yet she still showed the rest of the family around the entire place once more...again, I fell in love. The dinner was wonderful, we didn't get to tastes any of the cocktail food, probably because FH's family got there late and by that time the cocktail hour for the event that was going on was over.

Seriously girl, you will not be disappointed...my FH and I are still staring at each other waiting to the other shoe to drop. It all seems too perfect to be true.

OMG! FH's family starting getting into the whole ceremony in church thing and Loula actually stood up for us!! She was like 'come on, it's their day...let them make the decisions on what will make them happy'. I was FLOORED!

She was willing to give me Sunday or Saturday during the day for the same price. ANY time of year. She will certainly be willing to work with you. If you're willing to do a day time wedding, you'll be set!

I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment. I am only saying this, because I've read the quotes and some of the reviews, and because of this I thought this place was out of our grasp. I thank FH everyday for pushing me to go see it and make the appointment.

That is amazing!!! I really can't wait. We are going to set it up in January but now I want to go next week.

I know what you mean about too good to be true and seriously everyone I tell about what we are getting thinks I am missing something. And when I've shown my family the menu they are amazed.

I also know what you mean about the pricing seeming high. If I didn't fall in love with the place at a sweet sixteen about 8 years ago I never even would have went to see it, but I am sure glad I did. The prices include taxes and gratuity which makes it comparable to many of the other places I looked. And now with the one wedding at a time it makes it even better than I remembered. And Loula was such a doll..... I'm just so happy. I didn't think I was going to get everything I ever wanted and more. Okay I might start tearing up so I'll stop my ramble!

Your post just made me so happy!! My FH and I booked the Sandcastle for July 14, 2012. I cannot wait!!! We met with Will first and then Luala. They were both amazing. Will claimed that they had they best fried calamari in Nassau County...my dad challenged him on it and the next thing we knew a huge plate of it as well as glasses of wine were brought in for us. If that was our first meeting, I cannot wait for the tasting!!! Did you go to the showcase there or was this just a separate appointment which you set up?

I got married there in August. I can not express how much I loved it there. I still have people raving about the place. We were treated as royalty. I don't care how much it cost I would pay every penny all over again. Just to have the peace of mind that nothing would go wrong on my day. All you ladies are in great hands
