Yea, people tend to do that. OK AC or Mohegan? That's not even that expensive. Suck it up and be there!!!

I originally thought I'd do South Beach. When I told one of my BM's she was like 'Oh that sound expensive. I'll try I guess.' Keep in mine her husband goes on snowboarding trips several times a season (without her) and also (when we were having this convo) was in FL to visit a friend! Side note: by the time I got married she was no longer in my BP. Some friend!

Ya see, i love my friend to death - she has a habit of being very cheap! im not asking anyone for $$ or to spend $$$$ but seriously, if you are supposed to be one of my very good friends, why are you even questioning it!

grrrr

haha, whaaaaat! you all are crazy. money is tight for a lot of people now and regardless, people can spend their money how they want... if they come to their wedding they ought to get you a gift but it's within ANYONE'S RIGHT to not want to go to a bachelorette party!!! i know our weddings are important to us but i don't think we should let it get to our heads... to expect people to spend money they don't want to/can't spend is a bit much.

If she was in the Bridal Party I would be upset but she isn't. Unfortunately not everyone is in a position to spend the money on going to a bachelorette party. Weddings are expensive. If you think about it she already will have to get you a shower gift and a wedding gift and possibly buy a dress to wear the day off.

That is one of the things I am struggling with. I would love to go to Vegas for my bachelorette party but I feel bad making my bridal party spend so much money.

SORRY Im just a lil upset because she IS one of my very best friends.... and i guess the fact that my wedding is OVER A YEAR away - there is no reason why she can't save a little money and be able to come... I dont expect anything from anyone... but i was thrown back a lil when she sais ill do my best to be there... like whats your excuse to NOT be there?? If it's money then thats bull because she never spends any and has it! hahahaa

Im not telling her she has to come and spend $500 - but it would be nice if she was there to spend the night and have fun with me, so yea the comment hurt me a lil

I hear ya, and get it - but like i said in my previous post... Im just a little hurt because she is one of my best friends and im not asking her to spend $1000 to come to vegas... im just asking for her to come and spend the night in AC. I mean, I am giving her plenty of notice - and seriously, its not like she doesnt have the $$$ for it.
I would never expect someone to spend money on me, in fact - ill pay my own way! its just a matter of her being there to have some drinks, laughs and have fun.

Just sad about it - thats all....

Re: small vent...

i actually don't see a problem with this ... her saying 'i'll do my best to be there' sounds like she will be there unless something happens ... it does not sound like she's trying to skip out on your b-party.
