Small Wedding in New York City
Hello My boyfirend and I from England, will be visiting New York City in October with another 5 couples. While there we are considering getting married - but where? It could possibly be a double wedding as another couple in are party are considering it as well! We are looking for somewhere not too expensive, but tasteful, something special - can anyone help?

Hi Deb, and welcome! Where in England are you from? My daughter was just there in October and was in London and Uckfeild. Do you know of them?? As for you getting married here I think it would be neat if you got married ontop of the Empire State Building. There are so many wonderful places to get married in NY. Difinelty check it out.

How about a wedding in central park? Or a wedding at city hall if you are going for a casual feeling. If you want facny and different, the Empire State building will work too. And then theres the world trade center and the marriot marque in times square. Give us an idea of what you are looking for and we'll come up with something for you.

What about the marraige license issues....
I'm not sure if there are any issues with getting the license when you are visiting from out of the country but you might want to check that out first before you spend a lot of time planning. I'm in Boston so would not be of much help there, but maybe someone in Manhattan could make a few calls to find out if there are any obstacles there.

Budget?
Budget will play a HUGE part in your decision. Venues in NYC can get really pricey. Give us a better idea and both the Manhattanites (me included) as well as the Long Islanders can give their opinions.Welcome New Vendors
