small wedding- need advice

We are planning a wedding for approximately 125 guests. We are considering Sans Souci in Sea Cliff and the Vanderbilt Mansion. Does anyone know approximate price per person at the Vanderbilt? Any suggestions for reception locations? Need a location that can provide an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour- weather permitting. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated.

Hi. I'm having my wedding at the Vanderbilt Mansion next summer. The prices vary depending on which of the different menu options you choose and the day and time of the wedding. It ranges from $95 - $150 pp plus tax and gratuity.
They have very nice grounds for an outdoor cereony and cocktail hour. You should go take a look, I fell in love the whole place the minute I walked in!

I just booked at the Watermill (80 person min.)
They have the option for outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour- weather permitting.
If you do a search for 'small weddings' you should find some more information. I was just recently asking the same question
Good Luck!

Amykay - I went to a wedding at the Watermill last year. They had the ceremony there also. It was inside, but it was so beautiful The hall is wonderful, food, service, decor, just everything.

The Sans Souci was absolutely wonderful!! I was married there in September and I cannot say enough great things about it. Every single guest told me how impressed they were with the food, service and location. When I looked, the Sans Souci was about $25 - $35 less per person than the Vanderbuilt.

When we were shopping for locations we got price quotes for both the Vanderbilt and the San Souci for Saturday nights. I believe the Vanderbilt was in the $125 range and San Souci was $100/pp.

I recently heard taht the Vanderbilt would not be doing weddings anymore, and they had to find new places for the weddings they had booked! Not sure if that is a rumor though.

Edited to say that I thought you were talking about the Vanderbilt that is by the LIE - the club not the mansion. Sorry!

My mom got married at the Watermill 2yrs ago and everything was lovely there. The sevice, the food, the grounds, and even the chapel where she got married was very pretty. It was a smaller wedding too, about 100 guests. Reasonably priced.
