SMALL wedding - need help!

SMALL wedding - need help!

I am trying to plan a very small wedding (i have a very small family). We would like it to be 50-60 people. I am having a lot of trouble finding somewhere really classy and intimate. There are tons of beautiful halls on LI but they are just too big for us!!! We have looked at Tavern on the Green and the Rainbow Room in NYC and love them, but want to stay on LI, and would love to find something similar to them on the island. Any suggestions would be HUGELY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

We had the same issue.....most halls have a minimum way about the maximum amount of people we wanted to have. We looked at a few nice restaurants on the water....maybe try the Venetican Yacht Club or the Snapper Inn.

We had the same problem too. We only have about 60 people total. We decided on the Miller Beach Surf Club. It is really beautiful and the place is perfect for a small wedding.

I am also having a small wedding ..75 people. Trust me I looked up and down LI, so many places told me they accomadated small parties over the phone and when I showed up I was shown rooms in basements with no windows, bar areas etc. I was in tears...then I found the Milleridge Inn and the Carriage House. It was beautiful. It's in it's own building, quaint, classy, rustic. There are fireplaces, mantles. Truly a smaller version of a traditional hall. My banquet manager is Nadine but everyone there is so nice and helpful. It is reasonably priced as well and pretty much any date is open because it doesnt book as fast. The place holds 50-120 so you would have a nice amount of room. I negoitated my minimum is 65. There is a bride on here who got married there, her name is Greenfreak? but if you do a search you can find some pics of it all set up. Also the website has pics but the room is empty so it's hard to imagine it. Good Luck.

Oh, definitely look into The Metropolitan Club (the CLUB, not the Metropolitan, though they're owned by the same people).

It's a smaller, more intimate venue than the Metropolitan - the food is amazing and the decor is so classy.

Just call the Metropolitan and they do the booking for both. Check out both on their web site, too: www.themetropolitancaterers.com

Westbury Manor does small weddings in their room upstairs..... The smaller room downstairs has a minimum of 100 so I think teh one upstairs is probably minimum of 75 or even less

I'm getting married at MIller Beach Surf club also. It's really intimate there. You must see it in person- pictures do not do it justice at all!

Leonards does small weddings..

Ditto....I have the smallest room which will fit about 120 ppl. There are restaurants in City Island, The Bronx, that have beautiful ballrooms and can occupy less than 100 ppl.
