Is there anyone else out there who is having a small wedding party??? Im thinking of just doing MOH & another BM then Best man & one grooms man....
also, my niece & nephew....
FH keeps saying he never heard of wedding parties where people just have a MOH & Best man

I am only having a MOH and FH is only having a BM. We have no flower girls or ring bearers either. So it does happen :)

Thank you! i think bc he has been in so many weddings for his friends in the past, he feels they should all be in it - but i tried to explain to him that we can just keep it to family and save ourselves the headache of havin 20 people in our BP

We only have a BM, a MOH, and a ring bearer. I hate the idea of a bridal party, and we are nearing the age of 30...I think my friends are over matching dresses and the time/money requirement. I figured everyone would have more fun this way.
Fh chose his friends as ushers, and our 2 readers are my friends.
Plently of people keep it small!

I think a small BP makes sense.. you save money, you keep the people who are closest to you close w/o being distracted, and I just don't see the need for a big BP , I think if they're not going to be having a hand in helping me put it together, they don't need to be up there. Those who I will be relying on most will be in the BP.
FH said I have to have his sister in it so i'm having one more person than I originally wanted. I think the problem is more on FH's side, he's been really busy and distant from his friends right now, then we're moving this summer, so he'll be away for a year, I think he's worried that he'll only have the BM and no one else!

We are having only 4 bridesmaids including MOH and 4 Groomsmen and no flower girl or ring bearer. I think it's better to have smaller BP..

I like the idea of a smaller bp. I have a total of 17 in my bp. 2 mohs 4 bms 2 Jr bms 1 best man 5 ushers and 4 fgs I feel it is too many but I want and need the help of my girls we are very close but sometimes I wish I could cut it down so I could do more for them.

I had one. One Bm and a MOH for me and a GM and a BM for FH plus one ring bearer. It worked well for us.

Were having 1 MOH, 3 bridesmaids, 1 BM, and 4 groomsmen. We skipped the flower girl and ring bearer.

We are having a small bridal party. My 2 sisters are my MOHs and FH 2 sons are his BM and we are having 2 flower girls (cause I couldn't resist having my nieces!)

we had 2 bridesmaids, maid of honor, 2 groomsmen, best man, ring bearer and flower girl and it was the perfect size... i didn't want to have a 30 person bridal party, i think it's nicer when it's just the few closest people

i think because he's used to the old school italian weddings, he just thinks its weird to only have a couple of people!

I think we are going to definately do just 4 adults, and my niece & nephew! yay! nice & easy!
we probably can save money by not doing a huge rehearsal dinner too!
