SMOKERS!!

Any of you smokers out there...do you plan on quitting before the wedding??

This was brought on by me seeing pictures of a girl i went to high school with on FB...she just got married and she looks GORGEOUS...then i see pictures of her outside with a cigarette in her hand...ugh. Just looked awful!

I have seen this numerous times.. i think its gross. FH said its the trashiest thing he has ever seen. I hate it!
I guess people think it gives them an ultra cool posh look. I think it is NASTY

And i socially smoke!

Sorry...crashing! I don't plan on quitting before the wedding but it will be said to the photographer that there will be no pictures of me smoking.

yep I'm with you! I'll quit eventually, but right now...no.

Know what I hate though? When smokers blow smoke right in people's faces..like..omg how rude are you idiot? yo know, you walk into a building or something and the smokers are there. it bugs me.

I pretty much quit.. after we got engaged I stopped smoking regularly and now will 'socially' smoke and usually split a pack between a bunch of my friends.

ITA that it looks HORRIBLE, nothing worse than a gorgeous bride with a cig.. its just not cute.. no offense to anyone of course just my opinion

plus I can't afford it anymore.. $9 a pack

went to a wedding a few months back and the bride is a smoker.

she got some great shots with her smoking.
didnt look bad at all

crashing.... i was still a smoker at my wedding. i didn't want to be smoking in my dress, but honestly, so many things went wrong - if I didn't have a cig i probably would have flipped out.
DH and I actually hid around the back of the building and had our BA guard the area. it was rather pathetic, really embarassing when golfers went by and saw us, but that's life as an addict. would have been better off just smoking out in the open.

monday will be 2 weeks smoke-free for me and DH!

Crashing - getting engaged was actually my motivation to quit! The idea of smoking in my wedding dress made me cringe. IMO, it wasn't something I wanted to do. I am proud to say I am just about 14 months smoke free.

I'm not a smoker but FH quit cold turkey two years ago. He said he'd like to smoke cigars at the wedding though because it's tradtion I just hope it doesn't make he want cigs again!

I won't stop him from one night but cigar smoke makes me nauseous

It doesn't bother me that they do it because FH does it all day BUT i have seen them do it in restaurants where they spit in glasses which i think is DISGUSTING if i am there i make them at least get a paper to go cup !!!!!! I have accidentally DRANK Fh dip cup a couple of times and you usually throw up i don't want that happening at my wedding or all my photos having 'fat lip' in

yes i smoke....and no i am not quitting for the wedding...im stressed enough as is, i dont need to be anymore stressed! I have an awesome photographer and even though i didnt see the pics that were posted im sure if i get a pic taken of me smoking< it will be awesome or, we just dont use that one...end of story

FH & I quit earlier in the year..I smoke socially sometimes still

I have seen great pics where the bride is smoking I am still up in the air about it though I might take some and if I like the way they look I would post them

Already told the moms I'm smoking on my wedding day

fh and i are both smokers... 1 month ago we went to fort todd- or brag or something- where counseling services is for fdny and we are in the smoker program. you get this really annoying counseling from the most annoying man on the planet- but you get whatever quit smoking products for free. fh and i have been on the patch and gum for a month. i have had a few slip ups but not many. all you fdny girls should consider it- saves a ton of money- and i feel better already!!

Just to add to this..any city hospital (in the Boros) will give you the patch or gum for free. They all have a smoking sensation program
