Those of you that smoke(I swear Im going to quit!)
This might be a silly question but im never sure of it..I hold the cigarette in my left hand and Im thinking it will make the diamond change. Do any of you know anything about that?

I was just going to put a post up trying to get FH to quit!!!!! I don't have an answer for that but, I know FH has a friend that his fingers are yellow, brownish color from smoking.

I really never thought of that... cuz I'm spastic if I was to hold a cig in the left hand Its even in my right hand when I'm driving... arkward, but I cant do it any other way
I say you just quit now!! Well you know what, I wont even say now... I'll give ya till the end of this year... Thats what I did ... I havent had a *real* cig since new yrs of this yr (I still smoke cloves every now and then though, but that needs to stop too)

The cloves are the ones they call lucky right?my friend used tp smoke them..I really do need to quit. FH quit cold turkey and he;s been off them over a year now. I just cant tho! I have NO willpower its so bad!!

Ah, Im surprised you werent able to quit when he quit... Thats what we did and we were surprised how easy it was for us... We only smoke the cloves when we drink. That's still a habit for us, but like I said it's all gonan stop very very soon!
I know you can do it!!! How many yrs have you been smoking??

My mom brought up a good point tho. she said we would save so much more money for the wedding if i quit. Ive been smoking since I was 18-and its a shame because I knew better then I think it started as social then I just started buying packs-ahhh if only I could change that!

I tell Fh if he quits, boy the money that we would have saved for the wedding!!!! I started actually holding his cigs for him so he only does a pack a day. He'd kill me if anyone know,lol.

thats actually a great idea. I was saying how my mom said to quit to save for the wedding. LOL she quit for her wedding, THEN after she went back on them! but shes been off them for years. I wish I could. I think I will though!!

Me & Fh actually used the kids thing as our excuse for a while, but we were slowly convinced to just do it asap

I smoke too I've been smoking since I was 14 on and off but since I've turned 18 it's always been on....I always say I'm going to quit to but I have no willpower!!! FH doesn't smoke, never did, and he hates it!!!! He gets really pissed off at me and calls me over whenever one of those truth commercials are on

its so funny you say that maureen...my highschool boyfriend who I was with for 2 years BROKE up with me over smoking!!!
ran into him last year and he bummed one off me!!!!!!! what gives!?!

okay so FMIL says that nothing can damage a diamond, even smoke... the only thing that can happen is that it gets a little dirty, but you clean it and the residue comes off.
HOWEVER...
QUIT BECAUSE IT WILL KILL YOU..
FH smokes like a chimney, but he said as soon as i get pregnant, he'll quit... i almost tricked him into it by telling him I was, but i cant lie, so he caught me. lol.

FI and I are smokers...and I always use to smoke with the left hand and I switched because I thought it would turn my diamond yellow I don't know it thats true or not but I didnt want to take the chance....I want that diamond forever.
I have to quit.and FH says he will quit when we have kids but he smokes 2 packs a day!!! holy crap....id be sick.

OMG DJARUMS !!!! I havent heard about them in like 8 years !! my X used to smoke them occasionally and I have had a few but I'm not a smoker .. I bet if i smelt one it would bring back so many memories!!
BTW Donna and you other ladies STOP SMOKING ITS SOOOO BAD FOR YOU!!
