Re: SMOKING
I just quit on January 15th. Last day on the patch was a week ago this past Monday. So almost 2 weeks patch free!
I used a program called quitsmart.com with the patch and loved it!

Re: SMOKING
I smoke. I keep meaning to quit..... I cut down though, got a new car 2 years ago and refuse to smoke in it. I am at about 3/4 of a pack a day, give or take.

Re: SMOKING
I smoke, about 1/2 pack a day. I was going to quit after I got married, but I'm still working on it

Re: SMOKING
I also smoke, but I hate the fact that I do. I had quit for about a week last month, but with the stress I am under, I cant take it anymore. I am planning on quitting after I take my state boards. FH HATES it, and I promised him I would quit.

Re: SMOKING
I pretended that Iwas going to quit before the wedding. But now my little nicotine friends are the only thing in life that can calm me and my shot to Hell nerves. I won't give them up, I WON'T!!!

Re: SMOKING
Thanks! I used to smoke a pack a day plus! I had 2 motivations to quit:
1) I didn't want to have pictures of me in my wedding dress with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth.
2) Frankie told me that I am not allowed to get pregnant until I have already quit smoking. I can't get pregnant and quit.
So number 2 was great motivation. Everytime I craved I thought baby, baby, baby!
Don't get me wrong if they ever invent a non-cancerous cig. I am the first in line!
Thank you all for the well wishes and good luck to all those who want to quit.

Re: SMOKING
I quit almost 6 years ago and every once in a while I get a craving!! funny huh? its funny how I quit also. We went away to Key West....about 12 of us and the only smokers were my sister and I. When I got home from the trip, after being in that beautiful place, I decided that I didnt like the smell of smoke anymore, threw my cigs, lighter, and ashtray away and havent had one since. It was crazy but it worked!!!
Good Luck to all that are trying to quit and to those that aren't, Im sorry that you are descriminated on in certian places that you cant smoke. I remember when you could smoke in a movie theater, malls, restaruants, office buildings!! Long gone are those days!

Re: SMOKING
I don't smoke, but FH does smoke sometimes which drives me crazy, his asthma is very bad and we have at least one or two emergency room visits a year because he gets such bad attacks. He's tried to a quit a few times and has done pretty good but he travels a lot for his job so thats when he always starts again!
Congrats to those who have quit!

Re: SMOKING
Smoker here...down to about 1/2 pack a day, which for me is good actually. But now that DH and I have bought a house, he doesn't want me smoking anywhere but the basement. So it helps me alot, cause when I'm comfy upstairs, I don't feel like walking to go have one. Once our computer is hooked up at home, it's gonna be hard for me not to smoke in front of it though!! I will quit once I get pregnant, but I pray I don't go back to it.

Re: SMOKING
I am down to about 2 packs a week. At one point I was probably over a pack a day I really need to stop all together my DH hates it, even though I don't smoke in the house or in the car at all and rarely over the weekend (b/c we are home or in the car alot LOL). One day I'll do it!!
Congrats to everyone that has quit and good luck to everyone working on it!!

Re: SMOKING
I never smoked. FH did until 2 years ago. It was either be with me or keep smoking. I know I shouldnt have given him an ultimatium but I LOVE my health and I hate the smell.

Re: SMOKING
I'm a smoker but I plan to quit on my wedding day. I will not smoke on my honeymoon so when I get back I won't feel like smoking. My FH is an occasional smoker but we have decided that our apartment is a no smoking zone so this will actually help me quit smoking.
