I thought I'd share this with future brides...I wish I had this when I sent out my TYs!

This may be a dumb question but are they legit stamps commissioned by the USPS or are they novelty stamps?

I think I meant 'sanctioned' and not 'commissioned'.

I believe they're totally legal...got an email about them today.

Was thinking about using them, but they're really pricey...nearly double the price of a normal stamp. When you're sending out 200 invites, that adds up! :)

If I read the site correctly, it's just a label with the USPS stamp stuck to ti. Sounds like something any of us could make.

Honestly, I don't remember the exact site - I found it from a link from either Brides or theknot.

ETA: I found it!!! photo.stamps.com - this is the one I saw, but maybe I read it wrong. This is some of their info:

PhotoStamps and postmarks
PhotoStamps use a special coding technology so that the Postal Service will process the mail piece without any postmarks. Occasionally however (depending on the handling equipment) the mail piece may be canceled with a traditional postmark during transit.

they are cute, but expensive. I'm not paying $1 per stamp when I could just as well use the US Postal stamps for 34 cents!
