Sneak Preview of Fire Island Reality Show house
There are photos of the house now in my album. There are now also TV commercials on ABC, for the upcoming show! My pics were taken either last summer or before last summer, while the house was being built. The production company made some changes and added tons of decor for their show. Also, the beach in front of the house has changed a bit b/c the dunes were destroyed last September, by hurricane.
so...........the film crew is still in our Fire Island house. Long Story short for those who need to be caught up. We have a summer rental and we were displaced for 6 weeks this summer because the producers of The Real World bought us out of our lease and are using the house to tape a reality show.
My friends are now somewhat accustomed to the other houses that we will be staying in until filming is over. Some of them have attended parties with the reality show cast and were on camera. DH and I just saw the TV commercial for the show, complete with an aerial view of the house. How weird that we got engaged in a now famous house while it was still really just a construction site? Construction was complete in early 2005 and we were the only tenants ever to have the house--until the Reality Show thing.
Filming is still going on schedule and we are supposed to be at the house from mid-July through early October. In the meantime, we have other places to stay on Fire Island, but they aren't quite like this!
