Snoring

Snoring

Does your FH snore? Mine does and only recently has it really started to bother me. There are some nights that I can't fall asleep for hours because the snoring is driving me insane! And we live in a studio apartment in NYC...so there's no getting away from it!

Re: Snoring

Mine went for a sleep study and has a CPAP machine. It works great but if he has a cold it is uncomfortable. As long as he does not get colds, he can wear it. He loves it because he sleeps so well with it.

Re: Snoring

mine snores a bit.....and when he does it, i just nudge him in his ribs.....our of LOVE of course . It usually works for me, cause he rolls over and cuddles and goes right back to sleep.

I find it's the WORST when he's been out drinking though.....NEVER heard such a noise i my life!!!!! No matter how hard I nudge.....it's a lost cause.......ha ha. Good luck though.

He snores once in a while. If it wakes me up, I just poke him in the ribs and he rolls over and stops.

Mine too. I keep my air purifier on all night long to drown him out. The white noise really helps.

When he's on his back, he is soooooooooo LOUD, so I roll him over, or say 'Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' real loud--that usually wakes him up and knows to roll over on his side.........

OMG - SO glad you posted this. When FH sleeps it sounds like a freight train is coming through the room. I feel like the walls are going to cave in because he's loud enough to shake the walls. It's INSANE!!! One night I slept in another room, with the AC for noise my door and his door shut and I could still here him!!! Nudging him works for about 2 seconds and then it goes back. One night I was up until 5am because of it to the point I was so frustrated I cried! I sent him some websites of where he can go to get tested for this sort of thing. When we get back from the HM, he's going to have to do something because I don't know how I sleep wiht someone that breaks my eardrums when I lay next to him. Gotta love him though!!!

Re: Snoring

FH and I don't live together but I have my own studio apt. and when he sleeps over I know I'm getting no sleep!!! His whole family and my family joke that I should make him sign an agreement that he will get his nose issues taken care of before we get married. He can't breath out of his left nostril, I would think there is somehting wrong - he promises that he'll see an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor this summer when his work scheudle slows down.

When he's over I sleep w/ear plugs in and I still hear him - he's really bad!! I could beat him up in the middle of the night and he would still go back to sleep and continue snoring!!

Re: Snoring

Glad to know I'm not the only one in this situation. I've tried everything to get him to stop at night...and he will stop...for about 2 seconds and then goes right back at it!

I've had the experience where I try to drown out the noise, wear earplugs, it just muffles the noise. And go figure, we bought a new air purifier that's quiet. Come to think of it...when we had the old one I slept much better.

I'll also give him this...I don't have a job right now...so I get up later and stay up later. I really should just wake up when he does...then I'll be tired when he is.

I think I'll suggest he go for a sleep test...I wonder if he has sleep apnea.

Re: Snoring

earplugs, all the time - the only way to go...and if you get really good ones you can't hear a thing (although you still may be able to hear the vibrations)

Re: Snoring

What ear plugs do you use?? I've tried about four different kinds and I still hear him!!

Re: Snoring

Mine does, loudly. I use ear plugs (I don't know the name but they're pink and yellow and I got them at Walgreens!) and he went for a sleep study, refuses to use the oxygen machine they gave him.

Re: Snoring

my cousin recently got the machine and loves it. He has sleep apnea and also has a weight problem but I'm not sure if that's the reason. I think he had the apnea and the extra weight contributed to it. I notice when I drink and my Dh drinks we snore-that dries out your nasal passages. Have you tried a humidifier? It helps us.
