So I am awake right now because FH's snoring woke me up and now I can't got back to sleep. Of course the tv doesn't work in the guest room and my wireless connection isn't working either. My choice is to stay in here and get angrier with each loud minute with him or go to the guest room (with nothing) or downstairs and freeze (programmable thermostat that I don't know how to change). Anyone else have a snoring FH/DH? Any tricks to get him to stop other than hitting him?
I just shake him and yell 'you're snoring!!' and he wakes up confused for a minute, lol, and I try to get to sleep. After a while I just get used to it and fall asleep myself. It ***** I know!
Sorry nothing works, have you tried a humidifier?
I definitely have this problem. We've already established that when FH is snoring too much, I wake him up quietly and he goes into the guest room automatically. Otherwise, I'd never get any sleep! I know it really stinks!
UGHHH i have the same problem!! i get so angry...and it gets to the point that when i get up before him (like this morning), as i get ready i hear him snoring like a Mack Truck and i wanna suffocate him with the pillow...too harsh??

i do the same thing! i know he doesnt mean to do it but i try to fall asleep and i cant so i get SOOOO ANGRY....and then when i push him he stops for 30 seconds! its not fair!
My FH usually snores when he is sleeping on his back...most of the time I can make him stop if i can get him to roll over onto his side.
I shake him and tell him to turn over. At least he's a light snorer. I went overnight to Pennsylvania with my parents over the Christmas break and my mom snores like a lawnmower!! I had to go sleep in the tub it was so loud. And even then I could hear her through the door with my iPod on.
you might want to get him to get checked to see if he has sleep apnea. that seems to happen alot with snorers and they momentarily stop breathing. DH has severe case and now is using a CPAP machine which gives him extra air flow. The machine stops the snoring and DH actually sleeps better - - tho the head peice you use is a pain.
I try to wake him up, but he falls back asleep so much that I don't have a chance...he ends up on the couch at some ppoint during the night generally every night. He also has insomnia so he doesn't sleep much anyway.
DH is the worst! I totaly can't sleep to that sound. He started using this throat spray combined with the Breathe Right nose strips and it does work for most of the night.
FH used to snore really bad and then we found out he has sleep apnea, so he sleeps with a mask now and doesnt snore.
Thank God my fh only snores when he is sick or dead tired. But I usually just have him turn to his side and it works.
he snores when he drinks a lot of beer or wine....last night I slept on the sofa.
I nudge him and tell him he's snoring and to shut up...or i try to roll him over...
