So 2014 brides...

I love all the yucky love stuff. I love love stories... so tell me...

How did you all meet your FH??? How long have you guys been together? When did you know he was 'the one'??

FH and I have been together about 15 months. We met online. POF to be specific. I messaged him because he was 6'6' (and I'm barely 4'11'). He messaged me back. Then we were texting for a few days and we had our first date Oct. 13, 2011. That's when I knew he was the one. We spent 8 hours together on our first date just talking and laughing... I knew he was it.

So ladies... share YOUR love stories with me!!

So 2014 brides...

FH and I were set up on a blind date because I was looking for somebody to take to the prom (yes, I was a high school senior!). He was a second-year college student. We met March 5, 2004 at my school's play and on March 27, 2004 he asked me to be his girlfriend. I knew he was the one basically in the first couple of weeks. It wasn't always rainbows and puppies with us, but it's been worth every minute of the last (almost) 9 years!

We met Jan. 2008 at a bar. It was a night that a friend dragged me out (to meet her friend, who happened to be FH's friend) & I so did not want to go out, so I said I'd be the designated driver. We talked all night and it was literally love at first sight. We saw each other the next night at another bar and 10 days later we went on our frist date. Needless to say we hit it off & have been together ever since.

FH and I went to high school together but were never really friends. We reconnected after college through BBM (yeah, remember blackberries?) We had plans to go on a date but he got sick and we had to postpone it a week. During that time we talked on the phone every day. I think that's when I knew he was the one!

My best friend encouraged me to join EHarmony and on a free promotion during 4th of July weekend, I joined and FH and I were matched. He reached out and we switched to AIM and were talking for a little bit, then switched to text, then phone. Over the course of almost 2 months we spoke constantly. We had so much in common (thanks to EHarmony for connecting us) We started talking July 4, 2010 and had our first date August 28, 2010. We have been together ever since!!

I knew he was the one probably before we even met if that makes sense. The connection I felt with him was something I had never felt before. After spending time with him, I was certain he was my soul mate!

FH and I also met on pof! He contacted with a joke about me being a Bills fan and it made me laugh so I figured I'd write him back. We went back and forth via email a couple of times and then exchanged numbers. We started to text and chat on the phone then decided to meet two weeks later at a Starbucks. Honestly, the second I saw him I knew. We talked for almost four hours like we had known each other our whole lives. We've been inseparable ever since! 6 months later (3 of which I was living in Seattle for an internship) we moved in together. Our wedding date is exactly four years since that first message on pof, I'm one lucky lady!

I love these.

My fh and I went to the same HS and ran in the same social circle. We are not HS sweethearts or anything like that lol. We were always dating other people in HS. I have known him for almost 10 yrs. About almost 2 yrs ago I went to a halloween party at his house and re-ran into him after probably about 3 yrs since I last saw him. I was definitely interested in him after re-running into him. So the next day of course I friend him on fb, stalk his page to see if he is seeing anyone lol and messaged him. We talked back and forth for a few weeks I was almost about to give up that he was going to ask me out on a date when he finally did lol. He later explained he was saving up some money so he could take me on dates lol. He was little strapped for cash back then, I have since taken over the finances and set him straight lol. I was completely smitten on our first date, it was like no first date I have ever had. We talked for hours. I knew this was not going to be a stupid relationship by the first date. By the 3 or 4th date I knew he was the one. Our wedding date is exactly 3 yrs to the date that we re-ran into each other.

Me and my fh also met on pof!! I had just been on 2 horrible dates through pof and i didn't know what I was doing wrong bc I'd talk to a guy forike a month n we'd finally hang out and he'd be a totally diff person! Looked diff, acted fiff etc! So I was on vaca in New Orleans and me and my friends started discussing pof and i said im deleting it!!! I went on and there was a message from my fh! Totally out of character i emailed back and said I'm deleting my account here's my number text me if youd like! He did!! Our first date was 2 weeks later and I actually went on the date worried bc of my bad past pof experience but it was great! We went to hibachi then he came to a bar with me after where all my friends were! I honesty think i knew the first date bc i had been on so many blind dates, re dates and online dating dates in the year prior and good or bad i never brought anyone to the bar after where my friends usually were on a fri or sat! I tell him all the time I'm so glad i decided to email back before deleting my account!!

Fh and I first met in a bagel store, okay so not really, we didnt actually meet we just creepily stared at eachother for about a half hour while on the longest line ever. He was in front of me so obviosuly he left first, I got my bagel and went to work ( it was my first day ) I walk in and guess who is standing there! yeah so it was a veryy weird first day as we both basicly stared at eachother for eight hours, then the next day he was late so my boss gave me his number to call him , i did we went on our day and I texted him that night, we texted for hours then I mentioned I was hungry and he ended up coming to my house at 2 am to bring me a big mac and onion rings (thats right one thing from MCDs. and on from BK). We lived an hour away at that point. I knew he was the one when I saw him in the bagel store! He has the biggest smile I have ever seen! It was amazing, the best feeling ever!!

Me and the FH were introduced by his mom.. I work with her one day a week and we would always talk and one day she said to me that she had a son who was single and she thought we would be a good match. He called me and talked for hours and had our first date 10/28/07.. He asked me to be his gf 11/8/07 and we've been together ever since!

I met my FH in college -- we were both members of greek life and had seen each other at a few parties. But I made the first move and bought a date with him in an auction :) We have been to together for just about 6 years now but I've known he was the one for a while and we've been talking about getting married for the last 5 years!

My FH and I are High School Sweethearts! We met in the 2nd grade, dating in the 6th grade (lol) stayed close friends and then started dating in 10th grade. We were 15- this February is our 10 year anniversary. We have been together ever since! We have always had a connection and we grew up and shared many life milestones together! I love our history and feel so lucky. When we get married we will be together for 11.5 years!! It's about time and I can't wait. He's always been the one.

My FH and I met at my block party, I was friends with one of his friends and he got dragged to tag along. We started hanging out and I knew he was the one years later..... :)

So, I was seeing this guy and he wasn't right for me. He wasn't my boyfriend or anything, we were just casually dating. My best friend knew this guy wasn't a good match and kept trying to tell me to keep my options open. He (my best friend) had recently met his partner of OK Cupid and talked me into getting an account. The day I signed up, my FH messaged me. We spoke on the phone and I had such crazy butterflies. He asked me what I was looking for and made it clear that he was looking for something serious. He wasn't looking for a hook-up or to play any games.

THAT NIGHT he picked me up at my house, probably against my better judgement. We went for a drive to Cedar Beach, walked along the beach, had great conversation and he drove me home. We spoke every day on the phone and saw each other 3-5 times a week for a few weeks.

He started introducing me to his friends and family, but only as a friend. Even though we weren't seeing other people, we didn't want to label our relationship right away. It took us almost 6 months before we called each other 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend' and it took us over a year to say 'I love you'.

We moved in together 2 years after we met and were together for 4 years when we got engaged... at the Cedar Beach, where we had our first date.

I am so glad that we took it slow because we really got to know each other. I knew he was 'the one' before we labeled ourselves. I just remember saying to my mom one day 'this is the man I am going to marry one day'. I was so impressed by his love for his family, hard work ethics and his morals. He is amazing and I can't imagine my life with anyone else

these stories are all sooo cute!!!

So I met Nick when I was 14! :) we are not both 24!! We both went to St. Johns for high school, and lived about 35 minutes apart. We had science together freshmen year and were friends for most of the year! We became friends and had lunch together but at the same time were total opposites! So the end freshmen year rolled around and we just knew that we had to go on a date together. Being 14 still my dad had a meltdown!! (only daughter and we are super close!) Well we tried to go on a date all summer long and my dad would say ok, but then make me cancel because he just couldn't handle me dating! lol Nick didn't run away lol and kept asking (persistent for 14 lol) so finally, we go back to school in september for sophomore year and we went on our first date (finally) on 9/14/03. It was a great first date!!! we dated through high school and through college (he went to oneonta and I went to Sacred heart) so we were 5 hours apart. but we skyped everyday. and made it work. we basically always knew from day one that we would get married one day!! :) granted, it wasn't always easy, especially being in college and being so far, but we made it work and almost 9 years later he proposed on 8/10/12 in the same place we first went on a date!!! :)

I'm so happy and over the moon to marry him! :) we cannot wait to live together and start a family, it has been a long time coming and he truly still treats me like a princess like he has from day one! he is so wonderful and I hope to be a great wife to him!! :)

Love these stories.
My FH and I ALSO met on POF! I actually blew him off 3 times because of bad experiences with other guys I had met online. Once we finally met, we both just knew we were it for each other. We wound up just taking a drive to the city and people watching for our first date. We talked and it lasted for hours. We were officially 'dating' about two weeks later. On April 15 of this year we will be together for two years, and he proposed September 10 of 2012 :)
