Beautiful Engagement

Its long but soo worth it. Make sure your speaker is up too. You'll like i did

Here's the back story....

'A couple in GA got engaged and the guy went all out and is now being
recognized all over the U.S. for the love he has for his now fiancée.
When you watch this you will want to cry. This is one more reason for
not settling for less.

Imagine......... thinking you are attending your brother's birthday
party, just to find out your boyfriend has reserved ten (10) rooms @ the
Ritz Carlton...Upon entering each room a special letter is being read by
someone special (in your circle of friends/family). Please take notice
to the detail of each room, different color roses and some are laced in
gold (breath taking). I'm not sure how long it took this young man to
prepare this surprise for her... But I'm very sure she was very pleased.
This is off the charts and very romantic.

Robert is a graduate of Southern University (Q-dog) and is now an
accountant with Home Depot at their corporate office in
Atlanta. My
understanding is that he financially footed the bill for this weekend
himself. It was not supplemented by his parents. I was told that he
moved in with his sister for approx. 6mos. and saved the money to pay
for the engagement ring and all of the bells and whistles for this
very
special evening.

A radio station in ATL was playing the song in the slide show and
described what he had done and some men called in saying they had to
step their game up. It actually touched a few of them because they
admitted they didn't respect women on the level that he respects her.'

i liked it, im pretty sure that she knew right away what was happening - but imagine the anticipation - not knowing which room FH was going to be in, and what he was going to say, and what the ring would be like

i liked it - i love the way my FH proposed but I wouldnt have minded if he did something like that either - i think its really romantic - and even though it is definitley 'showy' it must have taken A LOT of planning - which is really sweet and thoughtful.......imagine if your FH went through all that trouble! i think that is the sweetest part - that he contacted all their friends, their family, booked the room, saved the money, kept it a secret, hired a photographer, i mean everything that he did is a lot to pull off - i wish someone would do something that romantic for me!

You ladies say that you wouldn't want that, but I will bet my last dime if you FH or DH did that you ladies with be on the site sharing your story with anyone who would listen.

Actually, I would probably be mortified and just say “Oh, he proposed at the Ritz. It was really nice!”

But like antntilde wrote, it would mean to me that he doesn’t know me as well as I would have hoped. I’ve NEVER been fond of being kinda over the top like that.

But to each their own!

Nawh, I think most girls thought it was beautiful, it’s just us girls handing in our girl cards that have the dissenting opinion, lol. Thanks for sharing though!

So with that being said, your having a small wedding, small reception without a lot of fuss.
Nothing over the top.
I just can't understand why most of the ladies on the site think that what this man did for his FH was over the top. That man looks like he put a lot of energy and thought into that.
I'm sure he knows his FW and knew that SHE would love IT.
I just hope that we get a chance to see the wedding. Because if he went all out for the proposal, I can only imagine what the wedding will be like.

Actually, if you look, most girls agree with you. I think it’s perfectly fine for anyone else, but that proposal just wasn’t for me.

I don’t really know what how my wedding will be has anything to do with my reaction to someone else’s proposal.

IN MY OPINION, i wanted MY proposal to be about ME and FH - and it was, and it was perfect and beautiful

i want MY WEDDING, to be a celebration of OUR LOVE whcih we will share with OUR friends and family

I am sure their wedding will be gorgeous as will mine

okay ladies lets all just agree it was beautiful but some of us think its not something we wouldve liked for ourselves. we've been drama free for a looong time so lets keep it that way

I thought it was absolutely beautiful, I will agree the proposal was a little weird, him standing by himself and her looking all down. But I think it was an amazing way to propose, very touching.
