SO ANNOYED!!!!! hospital drama

How annoying. Hopefully by now they have moved him. It was obviously a huge mistake on their part. I mean 4 days is a little ridiculous.

My mom was in the hospital last year and the whole staff was a binch of idiots so we tried to get her transfored, her personal doctor even signed off on it but the hospital just would not make it happen so my father finally had to check her out and bring her to the other emergency room..they said that they wouldn't cover if anything happened while she was being transported but nothing happened and it was so much better. but my point is that sometimes they do such stupid things and don't think about the fact that these are people they are dealing with real issues!!!

OH WOW that is crazy. Yeah i was thinking before, are they telling me lennox is so full that if anybody in the area called an ambulance they wouldn't admit anybody for 3 days. I swear that thought crossed my mind, ill just call 911 while hes still in that hospital well maybe right outside lol. I am gonna call before i leave work to see if he is at lennox today. I wanted to go see him today and i dont even know where to go.

Yea it is so frustrating cause I can't imagine they are that full not too take him for that long. This is a person that needs help I would keep on top of them so that they don't let it slide agains...I hope everything works out soon!!!

There is nothing more infuriating than this kind of incompetence. Nothing. Peoples' lives are in their hands and they make mistakes, and don't even own up to them.

I'm so sorry that you and you're family has to deal with this! It's stressful enough that he even has to be in the hospital but now they are just being jerks! I hope that they were able to figure it out and you can all stop worrying for a little while. Until then,

I'm just reading this now from this afternoon & I hope by now your dad has moved!!! If he hasn't, I agree with what you said about calling Lennox directly & speak to a supervisor or something... This is just too much!!

oh how annoying. I'm so sorry to hear all this hospital drama, I hope they get their acts together and QUICK! You guys will be in my prayers.

that is such BS!! There would have been a riot in the hospital if I was there

hey.. has he been moved yet? dealin with hospitals is the WORST. i' spent YEARS in it with my dad.. couple of suggestions..

tell mom or whoever is at the hospital to get a notepad..

write down EVERYTHING.. the nurses, the assistants, whoever comes into his room, or to attned to him. take their names, note the time and ask what are they there to do.. write it down.. (they HATE that)

find out where in the hospital is the patient advocate.. go visit her and make yourselves known.. that u'r unhappy and unsatisfied.. they get *ish done.. but folks don't normally go to them..

just to repeat the first thing.. WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN.. if they ask u what for (cause eventually some rude nurses aide will) tell them it's for u'r notes in case u have to contact the Bureau of license and professions in Albany.

and liek someone said, have someone there with ur dad all the time if possible.. in a hospital setting squeaky wheel ALWAYS gets the oil..

i hope your dad has a quick recovery!!!

UPDATE:

went today to the hospital, uhmmm the doctors tried discharging him, he was like NO i need to get this taken care of now and yelled about how they told him this morning sorry for the mix up and that they were on their way so yes it got worse. While i was there the nighttime doc came in and said 'oh you want to be discharged right? well we can discharge you now' i tell the doc about what has happened, he said oh i dont know about that, so i said ok well let me explain to you then, so as i tell him he kept saying 'oh i dont' i just looked at him SHOCKED, like ok i get it thats why if you listen to me maybe you can understand and tell us what to do. He walked away confused and didnt know what to say so yeah he was helpful . On top of that they tried discharging him and gave him a docs name to go make an appointment on his own. He called the doc and the surgery was for hemmorhoids, the doctor said to my dad 'I can't do this surgery, if you have heart problems, i cant give you anesthesia you need to have your heart surgery first and then come to me' i dont know why they thought its more important to take care of his hemmorhoids first and not his heart and how can they even send him for that if he cant have anesthesia now

Anyways after some more BS, go downstairs to look for somebody to talk to since the nurses and docs on that floor didn't know what was going on. Ok luckily we were looking around because security came up to us to ask if we needed help. I told him what the situation was and guess what!!! Once we told him, he was like OH you have to go talk to so and so, they left at 5 but will be back early in the morning and to go talk to them at 8am. SO after talking to docs and nurses, asking questions nobody could answer anything and everyone was giving different answers. BUT out of all people it was the security guard who told us exactly what to do and who to speak to, so he is the one who came through. I wish i would've known earlier, i would've gone straight to him. Its crazy but funny at the same time, fh and i walked away and kept laughing about how it took security to help us. At least somebody knows whats going on
